We've hit the post, missed a few sitters and had two cleared off the line in more than half of our away games so far this season - its getting to be a joke. Even against Charlton it could have been very different - nearly 80 minutes between the penalty and finally scoring from open play was a lot of time in which even the inept lot at Charlton could have nicked an equaliser from sloppy defending on our part (which we are also more than capable of away from home this season). It stops being just one of those games when it is nearly every time we play anywhere but Anfield. I'm not suggesting we are crap - far from it. I am suggestng that there is something seriously wrong if we can't convert the plethora of chances we get though.

We've lost away from home six times in one season out of 10 games. 60% = regrettably frequent in my book, but then you might think that losing more than half of our away games isn't "frequent" or regretable. Taken as a whole this season has thrown up too many controlled games lost through poor finishing, in my opinion.

Agree entirely. He's been so sloppy and half-arsed this season it is like watching a different player. Even if he didn't have a good game in seasons past he did put the effort in - don't think he even raised a sweat yesterday.

Are you sure you share genes with Kev? Good points well made and if it wasn't for the fact that it seems to happen with regrettable frequency these days the result would be dismissable as "just one of those games". A bit more difficult to dismiss when it is just another in the long line of missed chances. We need a goal scorer and Gerrard needs to get laid - miserable ghit.
