I feel the same way I did when things started going south under Houllier. No matter how bad things got I could keep making excuses for him based on isolated circumstances, and hoped given enough time he'd turn it around. Basically, Houllier would probably still be in charge now if I was running things because I would never know when the right time to replace the manager is. You have to hope we have the right owners who do know when that time is, like they did then. Hopefully FSG do know when that time is because it's in my nature to back the boss and hope he'll turn it around no matter what.

Wondered where he was for a while, but then he ended up having a quietly impressive game. I think for him and a few other lads once things click they're going to run riot.

Both the offal announcement of Firminho and Coutinho's interview referred to him as a "Forward", which is interesting. Obviously his position will be flexible but going off that I think the plan is for him to play in a two, with him being the deeper one.

Don't get your hopes up. Love DS but I'm just classing him as not in the team, so it'll be a nice bonus when he actually is. Less painful that way!

The fact that they're both flying in makes me think he's sacked actually. Probably better to be over here to meet and employ candidates, and hold a press conference for the new guy. I was convinced BR was staying until this news.

Not really. He's saying the likes of Manure took advantage of their global appeal financially, and we didn't which is why we are now so far behind. That is 150% true! Just because he's a Manc c*** doesn't mean you should talk b******s to be contrarian.

To be honest, I have absolutely no problem with how FSG run is financially. They've been sensible and my word did we need that. The problems arise from a lack of expertise on how to run us on the football side of things, not the business side.

To be fair, if I was in their position I wouldn't be either. Weird thing to be upset about.

I never thought I'd say this but I'd rather have Parry back than keep Ayre, at least Parry is a football man. Preferably neither though in a perfect world!
