  1. Bit disengenious that. Loads of clubs might be in for him but if 2 of them are Wigan & Blues**** whats the point? They'd be in for Robbie Savage or Muzzy Izzet. doesn't mean they are decent players. I think his leaving Madrid had proved that Chelsea, Man Utd and Arsenal don't want/need him, and that we'd only have him conditionally. And if he thought Newcastle would bring Cl football, he's either thick or deluded. It brough him a stage for the Wc year ( which also isn't happening - anyone believe in Karma?). Boateng? Is he going to replace Gerrard, Alonso or Sissoko in the centre of midfield?
  2. There weren't last time. At least not decent ones apart from us.

    Transfer Window

I think of all the players we've bought in the last 2 have improved the squad and were needed.

    Morientes

Morientes was hardly Gary Mac old, he was 29 when he came i think. Also, Houllier tended to be criticised for buying players too young. You need a mix. Age doesn't come into it in this case. I am guessing here but horseface at Utd is probably roughly the same age as Morientes, has had more serious injuries and (may god strike me dead) I'd love him in our team atm. Really like Morientes as a player and he had a very decent run for us before his recent injury. However, I can see him leaving in the summer because he's not being as effective as Rafa probably thought he would be.
  8. If the ball comes at chest height he should head it instead in order that he controls it better, which he's not likely to do given he's going to be stopping a couple of foot to get the ball. Is that the premise of your argument?

  11. just what we need.
  12. he's alsa more known to teams now and isn't getting as much room as he would like. They will have seen what happens if you do when we played Norwich at home last season.
  13. sky etc have been highlighting that terry has been getting away with handballing a lot recently. ref's watch that sort of stuff. 0..1 to us, via a penalty as a result of a chelsea player handballing.

    Morientes

You could point them out for me, because I don't remeber too many direct chances he had. And did Robbie score? Did we win then?

    Morientes

He is indeed. Morientes set up the goal, as well as setting up a chance Luis should have scored from. Sinama has been occasionally effective as a substitute. His opinion is w***, but I am sure he is perfectly able to stick up for himself, should he wish to do so.
  16. yeah its his fault. He's s***.
