I hope they do - they are less effective without him.

I don't see how they can play them, particularly Ballack, without unbalancing the team (or at least completely changing the structure of it). So its a good thing.

True enough, but I wouldn't underestimate the importance of a good manager. I think a few of the players might be "considering their futures" now also. Carvalho, Drogba maybe. Some players look for reasons to fail if they don't respect the man in charge.

Get in. Thats them knackered for this season at least. Most club chairmen/owners really are extraordinarily ignorant about football. How many precedents do they need?

Don't be daft. He had a lot of money but he made them the most successful team while he was there. The owners patently didn't want him to build a long term dynasty given they appointed other people to do that (such as Arnesen). He is a t**, but he was great for them.

I thought he did very little. Obviously got some skill in his boots, but he wasted the large amount of possession he had more often than not.
