Unbelievable level of disrespect shown for JAR on here. When Stevie G was saying we couldn't win the Champions League in 2005, it was Riise who went on record as saying he disagreed. He just played his part in us keeping a record number of clean sheets but because he had one poor game after a few months break, suddenly we should be selling him and buying Carlos or Bridge? Some people need to appreciate what we have.

Thing is, if we don't sign Kuyt, who are we going to get? Rafa has said that we need another striker and that he's confident of getting one but there haven't really been any other names in the frame except Trezeguet and he's said he's staying at Juve. I wonder who our other options are.

They've only really got Schevchenko and Drogba now though, unless you include Kalou and I can't see him starting too many as a striker. Seeing as how they're apparently going to be playing two up front this season I think there's a chance they could come in for Kuyt.

If there's anything as predictable as people moaning about pre-season results its people moaning about the people moaning and harking back to the good old days when you didn't know them till two days later.
