  1. Great way to lose if that is possible, played well, should have had a pen - 12 games to greatness
  2. Massive incentive now, come on!
  3. Watching in malaysia, sad to see digger have to haul himself all the way here to earn some money. He should be on the club's payroll
  4. Has the draw been made?
  5. That arsenal side is massively there fir taking
  6. With Sunderland thru to the quarters we'll be postponing our league game v them in a few weeks regardless of whether we get there or not as that is the quarters weekend, yet another reason to really go for it tomorrow
  7. Just watched Sunderland, we should hope they make a permanent bid in the summer for Borini, he's not nor will he ever be a Liverpool player
  8. Just watched the game in full again, tex definitely looks a player. Cissohko was the best of the back 4, 2 in the middle were excellent, 3 Ss were good but coutinho was the star of the show for me
  9. Spurs are starting to really come in to it, their form is pretty impressive irrespective of performance but hopefully the fact that they are actually a bit s*** should see them start to slip up soon

    Arsenal

Arteta has been poor this season, most gooners would not have him near their first 11. Wilshere is too loose to play central so that should leave plenty of gaps for us to exploit. If we can get Ozil, Cazorla and Rosicky turned and chasing then that is the best way of taking them on. Given the above, I'd advocate going gung ho and playing the four in front of gerrard and henderson (Coutinho, Sterling, Suarez and Sturridge). Could end up shipping a goal or two but you'd have to fancy us threatening them more given we're at home and their upcoming run of fixtures. I'd go for 4-2

    West Brom

Good start today so far with spurs and the bitters one down, united nil all (edit - make that one down!) evans has limped off, he's their only proper defender in my book
  12. James Pearce ‏@JamesPearceEcho · now No plans for #LFC to hold a medical for anyone in Liverpool or elsewhere in UK this evening. If there is one, it will be in Ukraine.
  13. Can we all agree that nobody outside of those who are sitting in a lobby in a hotel room thrashing out a deal have a bounce as to what exactly is happening, hang loose until we see a tweet from the club itself...
  14. It will get done. FSG cannot lose face on yet another collapsed deal.
  15. Obviously there's a bit of brinkmanship in any deal like this, if the intention is there to do a deal on both sides, it will get done
  16. Arsenal will be without Ramsey (injured) and flamini (suspended) for a few weeks
  17. I think it is abundantly clear that there is a process that involves capping a valuation (fee+salary) and the strategy is to not go above that and get the message out there that they will not budge - if we have to lose a few to ensure the club remains financially stable then so be it. FSG know how to run a sports club (financially at least).
  18. Any opinions on Romulo, seems like we are being heavily linked now
  19. Sturridge option from the bench is a big plus, hopefully he won't be needed
  20. Down to 6th, spurs are awful but seem to be picking up wins
  21. Is there a consensus on what positions we should be looking at in this window - I wouldn't be shocked if we only saw 1 in, someone like Salah. I know everyone has a wishlist on rb, lb, dm, winger, striker but I'd be happy enough to get a decent option on the wing/forward and look to get in the rest in the summer depending on how things go. Who would have thought 2 months ago that Flanno/Enrique would leave us pretty well covered at lb (including Cissohko too)
  22. Top of the fair play league too so nobody has any issues with yellows - only 22 all season thus far closest is city with 26. Lucas (5) and Aspas (3) are the biggest offenders.
  23. There has to be changes - to play at the intensity required for Thurs/Sun next week in those two big aways, players with any sort of knock need to sit out Saturday. You have to say we've been lucky with the scheduling of our games, ie kick off times/dates
  24. You have to admire his willingness to try different formations but it is plainly obvious 1 up top suits the preferred style of play. Playing 2 up top only worked as both were at the top of their game. Still, I'd say that's the position any manager strives to be in - options!
