That window is a more than decent window. The biggest result was the Luis scenario - that it has turned around in such as positive manner is hard to fathom really. The 8 in are all positive signings, we all said sort the defence is priority number 1 and I felt we were a domineering CB away from competing at the end of last season and we've more than covered this requirement. As for midfield, having flexible players who can cover a few holes is key here and I think Allen and moreso Henderson come in to this category and we should be more than covered here until Jan given our schedule with Lucas, Gerrard, Henderson, Allen and Alberto. Although Lucas is 3/3 for yellows so far this season so we will need cover. Up top, keeping Suarez means we have currently two of the top three strikers in the league and given where we are in the grand scheme of things right now that is a serious position to be in. We need impact from the bench and cover for injuries/suspensions and I think with Sterling, Aspas, Moses and Ibe we should have this. Maintaining financial prudence until we can grab that 4th spot is the right strategy in the absense of having a benefactor.

I would agree he is the best player to ever player for us. I think Suarez's style requires for him to be the focal point of any side. Watching him dovetail with Forlan and Cavani for Uruguay makes you realise how we set up to maximise his ability. I think if the club want to convince him to stay, they should really hammer this home. Personally, I'm not sure I'll ever have the same feelings for him but I'm sure that would all come flowing back should he continue on as he was last season.
