A safe bet would be a PL proven player.. Defoe and Bent, I am going to put money on it. Rafa can't afford to take another gamble with the strikeforce. Morientes promised alot but never achieved... not Rafas fault of course as all of us were overjoyed with the signing. i think Torres would be an expensive gamble. We could get Bent for cheaper and who had a better goal scoring record than Torres last season. Also taking advantage of Defoe's situation at Spurs would be a good move. We could get both of them for £15m I reckon. The £10 mill on a right winger and whatever else Rafa needs to spend cash on.

jesus.... Heskey was a decent fella and put in some good performances.... But hes not going to take us to the next step at all. Hes not a Fowler who was in love with the club and the fans weren't in love with him either. I know we aren't loaded, but we aint that skint! I think Rushie coming back as a player is more likely...
