He broke through and then we couldnt afford him Pretty sure the plan for Haaland was to move him from Salzburg to Germany and then on again a couple of years later, hence the release clause in 2022. Utd were in for him and he turned them down because they had a career plan

Yes. But it’s a different question. I’d have moved him on, but he’s an experienced 3rd choice keeper who popular in the dressing room. It’s easy enough to see why we wanted him to stay. I think I trust edwards to sell correctly he’s done a pretty good job with it so far. I agree this summer is great opportunity to extend ourselves in a relatively weak market but Utd haven’t signed camavinga and I doubt they will. He’ll go to PSG

We have 17 non-homegrown players. That’s the max possible. Of those, probably 3-4 are - available. Shaq, origi, minamino and keita. until we shift any of those we have a problem with bringing in others as we still have to move on karius and gruigc I don’t agree with selling for undervalue to shift on player. It sets a bad precedent. Plus we still make money from loan arrangement. Dropping 1/2 million is part of a players annual wage which disappears. We can’t afford to do that

I think he’ll get some games next season. Much easier to play him with Virgil, matip, Gomez or konate next to him

Can’t see it happening. He’ll get mins next season with a settled CB partnership
