If I was a Villa fan I’d be getting pretty pissed off that the manager refuses to play a creative player when we keep dropping points and not scoring enough goals.

Yeah Diaz missed about 2 or 3 really good chances in that match. I remember thinking that someone right up at the level of Mane buries at least one of them. Nunez did really well to win a penalty in that match though.

Yeah I reckon we win this. They're not going to do the low block thing and look to defend and we've done well in those circumstances against European teams and the like.

Even though Carragher talks a lot of s***, he's said in various interviews over the years that Torres was basically done by the time he left. That a lot of the players knew his body wasn't right and that his heart wasn't in it anymore and that £50m was a great deal for him.

Chelsea are useless and Arsenal have basically dithered between attacking or defending all match and win it at the end. -
Given we stopped starting Nunez at the end of the season because we didn't want to trigger the extra payment clause, there was no way he was staying. I can't remember anyone thinking he'd still be here the following season at the end of last season.
