If there were an all English final, do you think there would be any case to change the venue for logistical purposes? If it were to be us and the mancs, that'd be a pretty big travelling contingiant - one of the biggest in Europe i'd guess. Taking into account the perception of english supporters, and the known rivalry, it could be a real headache. Give it to Athens the year after? I know this probably wouldn't happen, has it ever been done before?

While there's so long to go, and I think PSV will be tight, facing them in the final would be horrible. The dream scenario would be Chelsea winning the league and us winning to leave them with nothing. The worst - Them winning to take a double or treble. Don't know if i could face that. Apart from that, the whole experience would be horrible - sharing flights, hotels, everything. Couldn't think if anything worse.

All well and good about Alves, just a pity he's a RB when we have Finnan. It's left side we're in need of. Also, does signing Arbeloa mean that Rafa might have given up on Alves? I know that if Alves comes it seems he'll be an improvement on Finnan, but it's a real pity as he's one of our better performers and there are other areas to strengthen.

Mascherano? I love Momo and Kuyt, but against a real class passing side they were shown up yesterday as hard workers but lacking in touch and composure. I'd have had Momo off for Mascherano - he was booked, knackered and giving the ball away while Masch could have sat in front, kept possession and allowed Xabi to go a bit higher.

Ideally Mancs play Chelsea while we play PSV. Save Valencia/Bayern/Madrid for the later rounds.......... if we get there of course. Don't want Roma, but as it seems that we're gonna face a British club at some stage I'd want it to be over 2 legs and definitely not the final.
