From soccernet: "55'After Webb denied him a pen Keane ran after him and said 'book me then,' as the letter of the law dictates. Webb ignored him. The idiot. 54'Keane cannot believe that, and neither can I. Keane gets round Carvalho and nears Cech when the Portuguese dives in, he's caught and goes down but Webb, in his own theatrical style, waves it away."

Laws of the Game: "Allowance for Time Lost Allowance is made in either period for all time lost through: • substitutions • assessment of injury to players • removal of injured players from the field of play for treatment • wastingtime • any other cause The allowance for time lost is at the discretion of the referee." Meaning "Manc c**** need a goal and are on the attack, add time". F*cking bent league

Yup, but at the moment all the "treatment" happens on the pitch and then they have to leave the pitch to come back on. Which is idiotic. Players simply shouldn't be allowed treatment on the pitch (unless they are obviously seriously injured). Simple as that.

My solution would be to push the defensive line some way up the field. I just can't understand why we back down to our penalty area when the opposition has a freekick in their own half or near the centre of the field. Just doesn't make sense. Push the defence at least 10m further upfield then have Reina clear the ball if it's a ball behind the defence.

Or they should do as they did several years ago in the WC or the EC (can't remember which), get the paramedics in and get the player off the field at once. They can receive treatment off the field for as long as they want to.

I think Lucas will come good but we shouldn't be expecting a world class player. Most people seem to (unfairly IMHO) be comparing him to SG, XA or JM. He isn't and never will be at that level. They are the best of the best. If we look at him as a squad player that will come in and do a good/decent job he'd get a lot more fair criticism IMO. Compare him to the first backup of the top4 teams or the first choice midfielders of most other teams in the league and you'll notice he's a very good player. Again, he's not world class and never will be but he's a very good player when compared to what his role in the squad is! As for your points: 1. He's a lot better this year (and the end of last season) than when he first came. He mostly stays on his feet and is winning quite a lot of tackles. So to say he's a bad tackler is wrong IMO. He's not a great tackler, but definitely not a bad tackler. 2. I sort of agree with this. But the reason many focus on this now is (again IMO) the few high profile fouls he's made that cost goals. In a few of those cases he has the choice to try to make a tackle (outside of the dangerous DFK area) or make the attacker have a rather free run at an isolated defender. An example would be the 1st goal AV got against us (IIRC). I'd rather he made the tackle than have the defender isolated against the attacker. IMO he's still learning that in the premier league players will sometimes fall on their ass from the faintest of touches while at other times taking a caterpillar to push over. Once he learns this I think he will improve in this area. 3. I agree with the part about not enough penetrating passes from him. Although I think a part of it is because we have the most static team in the top4. But the point about him not making enough forward runs is BS. That's probably the best thing he does. Yesterday he was almost always in the box when there was a cross on. And often he made a forward run to create space for others. 4. Agreed. He can do more of that. 5. Haven't seen much of that. 6. How do you judge that? Do you mean he's not at the level of XA when it comes to reading the game? Well, that's no surprise. XA is probably the best reader of the game there is. 7. He's 22. A kid. And he's a lot stronger this year than last. He'll improve.

Best result would be a 0-0 draw. With a few injuries and bans. If a team wins that game I really hope it'll be Arsenal.

You could add a rule about transparency and about "connected" companies/owners not being allowed to sponsor their own teams.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/europe/8225941.stm IMO this is the best proposal so far coming from UEFA. I'm just about having enough of clubs like Chelsea and ManCity destroying football. A club should grow and increase their revenue by being better run than other clubs in all aspects. Maybe this proposal needs some finer details to become a bit more fair for the smaller clubs but overall I like it. What do you guys think?

Burnley up 1-0 against Everton. via a deflection of Neville.

Isn't that exactly how a Manc player should behave? I'd think that would make him the perfect captain for them....

Has this been posted? To the Torres song: "His Hamstrings mean he has no Pace! Owen!,Owen! He wants to play for Bacon Face! Owen! Owen ! He left the Reds for sunny Spain and barely even played a game….Michael Owen….He’s got a Massive Head"

Don't let your hatred for the prick fool you. He'll probably have one of the highest goals/minutes ratios in the league next season. Depending on his fitness that will mean he could be a big part of their challenge for nr. 19. He does one thing well and that is scoring goals. And the Mancs create enough chances in each game. Let's just erase him from the history books and forget he was "one of us". The man represents much of what is wrong with the game today so he'll fit perfectly in that team of c*nts. Lets just hope we don't see a single of our players shake his hands in the tunnel before a game and lets hope Stevie G puts in one of his trademark tackles on him the first chance he got. Tevez seems to have more class than Owen. And Tevez is a manc tw*t! We should never have considered Owen "one of us". He never was and never will be.

Everything that isn't white (on that shirt) should be red! Not f*cking black! And am I the only one who thinks the Carlsberg logo should be red on our away kits?

The Dutch were so much better. But they were helped by a stupid Icelandic manager. The Icelandic team was set up completely wrong. Eiður was isolated up front for the first 30 min until he was told to drop back into midfield. The Icelandic team was then set up in a 4-1-4-1 formation in the first half with the defensive midfielder either overcrowded by the Dutch wide-forwards going central or dragged out of position by VDV going wide or dropping deep which then created a huge gap for RVP, the c*nt Robben and Kuyt to work in.
