  1. Gerrard looks unmotivated. And has for some time now.
  2. This is a gamble. Not only that, but recent (pre-Brendan) transfer dealings haven't improved our position. And our financial position according to the last accounts looked bad. http://swissramble.blogspot.com/2012/05/liverpool-keep-car-running.html The rumours about Gillon Mclachlan IIRC. Read the swissramble article I linked to above. I agree that now would be a good time to get rid of him. But what some seem to be asking for is that Henry would in the open letter say that he would soon be getting rid of Ayre. Which would be as far away from how things should be done at this club as possible.
  3. What if they weren't the ones that f*cked up!? What, if the rumours are correct, if they are already looking for the very best football administrator? Why would they openly need to make sure everyone knew we were trying to replace Ayre? IMO that's not the right way to do things. We don't openly state we are going to replace one of our own, no matter how much we think he s*cks at his job.
  4. Always so friendly aren't you.
  5. The letter pretty much states that we won't be run by accumulating debt in the hope improved league positions will pay off that debt later on. Part of that is probably about not buying players we can't get any money for when they later leave us. And I highly doubt they had anything to do with the decision to let one of the few strikers we had go before having a replacement ready. So I don't see why they should get all the heat for that decision. We spent somewhere around 20m this summer. How that was spent was most likely up to Brendan and not John Henry. Then why didn't we use those 4 months to try to sign more forwards instead of midfielders? If we had a budget of somewhere around 20m why did we spend most of it on midfielders when we obviously needed forwards? Everything Rodgers has said indicates that yes, I agree with that. This open letter from Henry clearly indicates there's a budget the manager has to work with. The truth is most likely somewhere in between the two. We did sign a couple of midfielders instead of forwards. Even if most of us agreed that we needed forwards before anything else this summer. I just don't see how that's the fault of the owners. Unless people want us to gamble on taking on debt in the hope league placings will improve and pay the same debt later on. In which case I can only say I disagree on that course of action. Even if that would publicly chastise the manager or another employee of the club? I know we all dislike Ayre (whom IMO is the most likely reason for the f*ck up) but would we really want one of us to be openly criticised by the owners?
  6. What detail would you want to be happy? Did they make the decision to get two more central midfielders instead of going for forwards? Because we were well stocked in midfield going into this summer, although not as good, They've already said they are putting their trust in Brendan regarding how we will compete. I don't want to be defending them on here as I'm still not sure about them, but the mass-hysteria regarding everything they do (and don't) is doing nobody any good.
  7. Most of us were at least satisfied with the business until the whole "let Carroll go, get no one in" f*ck up. Problem is we don't know who to blame for that. It could be the managers f*ck up (allowing a player to leave before guaranteeing a replacement), it could be Ayre ("Yes Brendan, I'm 100% sure I'll get you Dempsey) or it could be the owners ("Hey, there's less money available than we said. So you need to sell some more players in the last two days of the window"). It's easier to blame the Yanks™ than it is if the other two are to blame. But that doesn't necessarily mean that's the right thing to do.
  8. So what were they supposed to say? "We are evil bloodsucking owners trying to bleed the club dry while making sure we get into a relegation battle before we sell the club for a huge profit"?
  9. "We demand an explanation!" "That's a BS explanation!" They can't win, can they?
  10. Of the options on a free Owen is probably the best... which shows two things. 1) The options are sh*t. 2) We are f*cking desperate. We should never, ever sign that despicable c*nt. After him running down his contract and then signing for the Mancs he should be a persona non grata at Anfield. But our huge f*ck up has made him a realistic option now. F*ck!
  11. And we will most likely not say a word about it.
  12. Luis, while being one of our best players, will cost us points this season. He needs to finish chances like that.
  13. Three incidents this game that could go either way. All gone against us. Then that foul on Suarez by Vermaelen...
  14. I'm sorry, I just don't think people surrounded by cameras 24/7 will be distracted by having a few more of them around at a couple of new places.
  15. Them allowing cameras "indoor" while people do their work can't be such a huge issue. And "the f***ing football" requires money to stay competitive. Which means we need ways of making more money. Which this probably is.
  16. Raising our profile thereby increasing revenue? Giving us, the fans, a look into the club? No, it must be wasting money we don't have on humiliating a living legend just to make the club less successful. Must be.
  17. Are we paying for it?
  18. After improving them it looks like from a quick look online. But John Henry isn't the only owner of FSG. Thing is that we don't know where the f*ck up of the last few days* originates from. It could be Brendan, it could be Ayre and it could be the ownership. It's easier to blame The Yanks™ than it would be to face the fact that Rodgers or Ayre might have made a big mistake. But just because it's easier it doesn't mean that's the case. * loaning Carroll without a replacement coming in.
  19. They aren't going to make any money if we are less successful than when they bought us. So why would they willingly be reducing our chances of success? Have they sold any other acquisitions they've invested in since NESV was created?
  20. Is there any evidence of them taking money out of the club?
  21. There are enough BS accounts on twitter... no need to post obvious fake ones!?
  22. http://www.footylounge.com/films//empireofthekoptv/being-liverpool-teaser-trailer-video_6d23653f2.html I'm excited to see this!
  23. Straight from the practice pitch? Coates blocked the area Skrtel attacked. And
  24. You should always use SI units. Always. Otherwise things like these can happen: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mars_Climate_Orbiter#Cause_of_failure
  25. So... wasn't that a penalty for Stoke when Pennant was tripped? At least it should be considering the two we conceded against West Brom... Got to love the consistency in the refereeing in this league.
