To me it looks like he does everything well/great when he has absolutely no time to think about what he's doing but then f*cks things up when he has time to think. Like that pirouette thingy.... quality stuff under pressure. Then a couple of times in the game he has all the time in the world to pass the ball and f*cked up the pass. Or maybe it's just my imagination.......

With Carra one game away from suspension IIRC I'd rest him for this game. Otherwise same team.

Some players are legends and no matter where they are from they'll be recognised as such. Michael Laudrup is one of them, and they are few. Zlatan isn't in that class (yet?) but he is definitely one of the best forwards in the game today. But he isn't recognised as such amongst the majority of football fans. And why do you think he's such a c***? You mention him being arrogant but what has that to do with the ability he obviously has?

Exactly my point. if he was from England he'd be considered world class. Same if he'd be from Spain, Italy, France or one of the big South American countries. But because it's "just Sweden he's s***".

Could that have anything to do with him playing in Scotland? Was he as recognised in Italy and Germany as he was in the UK and Spain?

True. But their primary (and almost only) job is scoring goals. Ibra is a second striker. He plays best with a Crespo, a Trezeguet or an Allback (yet another example of a not so good player who excels with his national team) with him. So yes, perhaps Ibra isn't the best striker like mersey said. But he's one of the best forwards/"2nd strikers" in the world today.

Yet you spend about 50% of your time here telling us how great Riise is......

Or because he's only Swedish? He would most likely get more recognition if he was from one of the bigger footballing countries.
