I know. I think Lucas will turn really good this year. And Alonso, although being a great midfielder, tends to lose possession of the ball too often in dangerous areas. I just think Lucas will be a better fit for a more fast passing game while Alonso is better if we need to move the ball quickly out to the flanks. Just a tactical preference.

Since we haven't bought Barry (yet?) I'd put Lucas in instead of Barry. Then the only weak point in the team would be Arbeloa (IMO). That team should be able to challenge for the title.

But is it any different from working for a multinational company where the contract states that you'll have to move if requested? But I agree with the last line.

IIRC it's not the teams themselves that are the "employer" but rather the league. So the employer stays the same only the player gets based in another place. Or something like that....

True, but we have to get close first to then be able to win it. We are still probably too far behind to realistically expect the title next season. It's about getting closer and putting pressure on the other teams now. Two world class players will get us there more than 4-6 squad players (IMO).
