Must be some rational City fans with all this but honestly haven't seen any or read any. Proper smug showing yesterday from top to bottom. 'Just wait for the process to finish'. It has, lads. You got found guilty. -

The Greater Manchester thing is wild. It happens so often. Feels like trolling or at least them flexing their muscles. -

I think Semenyo is just alright, you know. Been paying attention to him for a while at City and I don't think he's anywhere near top level. Anderson will be great for them. His application is bang on too, even though he loved a dive yesterday. They look far better than last season atm. If we can't win it then I hope they have a really good season. -

I think he's very headless chicken. Probably why he doesn't always start for them. When he's good he's very good though. Boring watching him score bangers against us then do nothing again for weeks, mind. -

Araujo looked more a centre back filling in yesterday I thought. The ref was a joke. Anderson diving all over the place and pulled someone back at one stage on a break, with the ref giving advantage. Never went back to book him of course. That first Grav yellow was jaw dropping. Greater Manchester, like. The amount of times it happens in these fixtures. Why do they do it. Kinda hate Doku too! He's fairly ordinary but we seem to make him look like prime Robben. -

That's all im feeling. The whole thing is a mess. They look a really good team on the pitch again, City, and will almost certainly be top of the league when their punishment finally comes down. A f***ing write off of a season. -

It's all I could think of watching him yesterday. He wasn't desperately poor or anything. No mad mistakes. Was fine. But we had the best fullbacks in the world not too long ago. Never mind Trent, there were games when Robertson was the most influential player on the pitch. We should be bringing in someone who's immediately one of the best left backs in the league. Same on the other side, as Bradley isn't going to be the answer. -

Just how much Wirtz withered at that point worried me though. I think he's f***ing petrified of everything now. Frimpong coming on yesterday was a bit Slot-ish. Just throw on subs and hope for the best. He has no business being on the pitch in a game like that sadly. -
Yeah he's looked sharp so far. I feel sorry for Wirtz really. I know I'll probably be alone there but he looks f***ing lost and it's now a huge thing how badly he's done. Carragher is revelling in it. Was one moment yesterday when he says we need a better corner from Wirtz here. As soon as it left his boot carragher groaned, only for the cross to go straight to Macca who nearly scored. That's obviously a side issue to how poor Wirtz has been but it's just ratcheting up the pressure. Getting harder to see him turning it around.

Two new first choice fullbacks is an absolute must. Kerkez is a United player. The games I saw for Bournemouth must have been an aberration or my memory has been swayed by one great cross or something. He's miles from the standard we should have. He'd be fine as a league cup, scratch team backup. Frimpong ís somehow miles worse. -
He had the exact same meekness yesterday that Wirtz seems riddled with. A bit worrying. Could do with a goal asap.

The whole season is an asterisked mess. All feels irrelevant. City are going to amass a load more points that they then get taken off them again, but they'll all go in to the ether. Loads more teams will be beat by a club that are cheats right now and will still be cheats when they've exhausted their appeal nonsense. They could lift the title this season if it lasts that long then the punishment comes. For all the nonsense fans tried to label our covid season title, this will be a genuine meaningless season I think.
-
Annoying if it's even a bit bad. The Gods of Narrative would have ensued he scored against City.
-
Far too early of course but defo feels Iraola has initially thought he's not having grav. I think Wirtz et all would be better with two proper CMs but I'm not sure we'll ever see if that prophecy comes true. Yeah I'm just steeling myself for them to continue their policy of having at least one gaping hole in the squad that undoes everything else, and it'll be midfield again. Maybe Macca gets a new deal if he continues his form, mind.
-
Clearly summat in this Camara link isn't there. They'l get him in and Macca will be off. And then we can hope the new lad can replace Macca as our one good central midfielder
-
Yeah fair he has scored some bangers and started really well. I personally think he levelled off and showed his true level wasn't quite that, mind.
-
I think you overrate ekitike tbh. He fell of a bit of a cliff last season before the injury and was capable of real wastefulness. The way he held on to the ball too long drove me mad. Isak at his best was a different level to the Ekitike imo. Obviously he's got much more experience. This injury the latter has is absolutely rotten though. Even if it hasn't taken anything from his game it's gonna be ages until he's properly fit and flying.
-
Incredible that. I do wonder if it's made me think he's done that kind of thing more than he actually has though! But yeah it was so good.
-
Yeah I remember him doing good stuff on the left at Newcastle tbf.
-
I think he's totally different to those players though. Like there's much more to come from him and we haven't seen the terror that he was at his best for Newcastle, but I'm not sure he has an all round play as good as those two lads. They never lost the ball when they were at their best, and Fowler could pass it like a midfielder. Obviously it's ridiculously early, but Isak is on course for a 20+ goal season if he keeps this up. He can have as many quiet periods on the ball during games as he likes if he puts up one of those. Obviously I'd like to see him make a few more chances for himself, but there are positive sings here.
-
I do love Haaland. His behaviour on the pitch speaks of a player with as much confidence as you can possible have, though. He's got a swagger. I can't really remember if Isak was like that at Newcastle but if he was I think he'd need a consistent period of playing well to get into that kind of groove at Liverpool. I think he's had a good start though. Even when he's quiet, which he was at bournemouth mostly, he looks much sharper on the ball and is making good runs.
-
He's had a good start. I like strikers who win games. Mane done it all the time. I' watched Isak have loads of games at Newcastle where he didn't really do much but then won it. I think there's a bit of an unrealistic expectation on him now due to the mess of his first season. People want to see him be absolutely unreal in every facet. It's a bit of a cliche now with Haaland, and his play on the ball is much better than he gets credit for, but he has loads of quiet games and comes off the pitch with goals under his belt. Isak is looking sharp and good imo.
-
"Yes, I can hear you, Zion Suzuki."
-
Honestly some of the worst substitute appearances I can recall from him this season. And a truly dire start against Fulham
-
Him walking into Finch Farm, thinking 'nah' then leaving without signing or even telling them he was leaving was magnificent.
