Gakpo staying and no right winger leaves us really unbalanced I think. Thinking CG can be a genuine starter in the opposite flank to his normla one cos he played okay on Saturday seems mad to me. Being cynical it reads a bit like them telling everyone that f*** all else is happening apart from a possible one in, one out with Gakpo.

This summer has been mad. If they said “we spent a fortune last summer we aren’t doing it again” then I’d at least get that. It would absolve them of the mistakes made last summer but still. Bur to just ignore so many glaring holes again is wild.

As ever buying players we need seems so much harder at LFC than everywhere else

And if true it’s also keeping a player who wants to leave just cos we couldn’t sort a replacement. No way that’ll backfire

If they have failed in the most pressing business needed this summer by 11pm tomorrow - and there's a real chance they will - then it just won't be because they signed a couple of youngsters for next summer. People complain that the club can't multitask as well. They were obviously really easy deals to do.
