I get that, but given some managers condition their players to finish strongly (and therefore could potentially have a dip elsewhere, it feels useless) It's the timing that is selective, doing it now when this season is slightly ahead of recent 'good' league seasons. I think in 08/09 we won like 9 of the last 10 league matches, I think there was a similar finish in 01/02, so choosing the time of comparison just before those runs start, of course it's going to skew the results, specially as we have a tough batch of matches coming up. Even if this team was just as good as those teams, all this graph tells us is the distribution of the fixtures. None of this takes away from the job BR is doing, I know he's doing a good job, but that graph doesn't tell me anything (unlike this table) but I don't think we are approaching the heights of 08/09 yet.
