No doubt he's been very solid the last 6-7 games or so. But so has the whole team and if I had a choice I'd still pick Agger and Carra ahead of Sami. It is quite a luxury even for a big club to have such an experienced central defender as backup.

With Lucas getting more and more games then yes, competition for him to get a game right now is too tough.

Wouldn't say he's exactly poor at the left, but he's not a left midfielder. More of a wide attacker imo. Think he's brilliant in challenging defender just outside the box. Also lately he seems to be somewhat of a tap-in master, but that might be because we've been cruising in the games where he has come on.

Don't see any logic in having the hosts as top seeds as default. Add to that Greece as champions making the top seeds more like 3rd or 4th seeds only THEN do you mix in Holland and just.... ...aw f*** it...

Was a 50% chance of Sweden being in that group in the end, heart did skip a beat there i believe. Luckily group D seems way more comfortable.

Surprised (in positive way) of Benayoun's contribution. 5 goals so far in not bad at all. My concern with him is that he always seems to have a great game or a poor game, rarely any gray areas with him. Or that might just be my impression?

The Anfield pitch ends pretty much at the stands, where the hell would you squeeze in the ballboys? All the stadiums where you have ballboys also have an extensive space between the playing field and the live studio audience. Anyways I'd rather have fit ballgirls myself.
