Er, what makes you think he is? He said "At least we got a point", and he said it was the "only positive". to me, that means - at least we didnt lose. And what is wrong with feeling like that? Nothing worked, we played crap, the players were not up for it, so he considered all these factors and said "hey, at least we didnt lose." Obviously it isnt ideal, and I am not even saying we should be happy with a point esp. against villa, but you are misunderstanding him.

Yeah, agree. Fecking disappointing, I think its a little bit of both. We need to change our attitude to these league games and obviously a quality attacking players would help things. Reading the offla, I think Rafa is just as frustrated as many of us here....

no, and not because hes a bad footballer - hes quality, but I am still reeling from carrick's ludicrous price tag. God knows how much would spurs want for berbatov but wouldnt surprise me if they quote something in excess of 20mm. at that rate, we are better off buying someone else.

Out of curiosity, how much academic schooling do these kids normally go through when they are at these football academies? I am very ignorant on such things, but the thought of them having nothing to fall back on if their professional football careers dont work out is somewhat harsh.

Regarding Berbatov, I think hes a class player too but I observed that unlike Dirk, he doesnt press the opposition's defence often enough. Hes fantastic when hes playing his best but when things dont go as well (ie: when the team isnt playing well and needs to grind a result), he really does tend to disappear.

Spurs fans are deluded more than anything else - their insistence on how its their God-given right to be playing Champs League football is baffling but yet humorous. I pity them more than I dislike them.

I know for sure Toni isnt quick (running wise). Not sure who we are thinking of replacing but hes probably closest to Crouch in terms of playing style. Hes incredibly agile for someone his size (his shots on the turn especially) and he holds up the ball well. But...hes a litttle old (28-29?).

Pretty interesting posts. Its very obvious who are the Manc and Spurs fans in there. The Mancs have a point with Ferdinand, but the Spurs fans are definitely living on another planet. Some of their comments are beyond ludicrous, is the air there affecting them somewhat? How can anyone be that deluded?

Agree with that. But I think it will be rectified in the summer. We just have to make do with what we have now, which hopefully is sufficient to take us to No.6.
