    Agree with all that, but Fabinho was one of the best in the league until he wasn't. Henderson fell off a cliff. I think we're learning new things about players as we continue t push them to play more games and at higher intensity.

    Seems crazy to think he could be Fabinho'd at 28, but he's had a hell of a lot of football the past few years, World Cup and Copa America summers don't help

    I am again falling into the trap of blaming Slot for all of this, when it's very much a recruitment/player sales issue I don't think he was on board with selling Diaz, so him talking Rio up is maybe just his public face

    TBH, if Slots feels 17 is too young for the kid to be starting or playing a lot then, fair enough, but we can't be expected to agree with that while also swallowing the suggestion that the kid is Diaz's replacement and we didn't want to block his path to the first team.

    James Milner had 18 appearances in the league in 02/03, he wasn't 17 until January 03. 30 apps the following year.
