Lovely away for the Palace fans. Confidence building for some of their players. Good squad, well managed by Glasner. -

It's a good time to experiment. Everything is on improving our league form starting with Villa. -

He doesn't get a pass on this team he's built and it's results because of last season.
-
He should have kept us there then. Wonder where we will be in the league in November and December.
-
Sticky patch ? We've been s***e for months.
-
The only thing that might keep him in a job is FSG's reluctance to seem impatient. Depends on who else is available to take over. It's a mess. The only thing we can be sure of is that this manager is failing. Throw all the mitigating circumstances you want at it but if he keeps losing games then the club has to find a new boss. It's mad to think that we knew that and still decided to throw £300m on Isak, Ekitike and Wirtz. That's a massive spend on the 9/10 and we are only getting a tune out of one of the 9s. Maybe we should have been a little more measured with our signings.
-
Why would you do that ? It's sketchy to try to build a bridge to a new system over multiple transfer windows. What's the ultimate goal ? To have a good team when you have more centre backs who can pass, and wingbacks. Why not have a good team now with the players you have, with a formation that gets the best out of them ? It's back to 4 year plans and that's just bulls***

That's a bold prediction. He's shown no sign of that so far. I guess it being the cup lends itself to an experimental lineup. Or just that he knows he's in the last chance saloon. The trouble with that is the idea that he's capable of coaching this new formation to the squad who are low on morale in a week. I'd guess that he's more inclined to stick with 'his system'

I'm hoping to find some new information. I will check the table again in the morning and see if there's any new ways of seeing our progress.
-
I just had a quick look at which teams have worse form than us over the last 5 league games. I think you have to go all the way down to Fulham in 17th place to find another team picking up 3 points or less. If something doesn't change quickly, we will probably fall much further down the table.

1 million pounds

I'd be very wary of falling into the trap of 'final piece of the jigsaw' thinking. Because that one or two signings never arrives. There's always something else that needs signing, always an injury. The manager has an incredible squad and before anything else he should be winning games with what he has.
-
He's probably quite settled where he is.
-
It's not the defeats as such. It the direction of travel over his whole tenure. The evolution to a different style that doesn't work.
-
Think it's best for everyone if the club lines up the next manager without delay. Not sure who the caretaker will be but there's an inevitability about this.
-
I think he'll get more time but I can't see him turning this around. The signs were there last season but most of his players still had Klopp's work rate and determination drilled into them. That waned as the season went on. You just can't afford to dispense with the identity of a winning team like that. The stuff about 'only winning by one goal' is hubris. I think he's looked at it all and thought he could do something better, rather than building on what worked.
-
The most important maxim in football is that you have to earn the right to play. He's not setting us up to win the battle.
-
It must be an absolute nightmare for him right now. Imagine how s*** he felt on that holiday he went on during the international break

The pressure is off now that Sunderland are going to win the PL this time. We can have a season off. -

I take on board your comments and try to improve. Just to reflect this back to you though, it maybe makes everyone an island. 'Only come to me with the finished product' is an attitude that maybe inhibits collaboration. Each man and woman standing in their own kitchen baking their own cake. Nobody cracking an egg into someone else's bowl, or wiping a pal's worksurface.

Whatever we can pin on Arsenal. Of course we will need to find a way to make the country abandon all reason and go back to olden days belief systems in totality. It's probably one to put on the back burner.
-
Perhaps there's some supernatural ruling class male dogma that we can use to curse Arsenal. In Numbers 15:32, Moses and his brother Aaron found a man gathering sticks. Because it was the sabbath day, they punished him by enlisting people to murder this man by stoning him to death. We need to find Arteta's gathering sticks on the Sabbath Day.
