There are plenty of DM's who could do a job but they wouldn't be underappreciated and they would cost a pretty penny. We aren't just looking for any DM. We want one who is young, yet good enough to play at the highest level and cheap. This is the issue. Firing scouts won't make us more or less cheap.

I really don't find it hard to believe. Every somewhat bigger team has access to data and software that has mapped every single viable player. If there was any good underappreciated DM's out there EVERYONE would know and they wouldn't be underappreciated. Everyone wants a classy DM who can do the dirty work and has the technical abilities to play with the best. Everyone wants the next Rodri. If someone lives up to those requirements clubs will circle and prices will go up. Last season proved this. Caicedo was the best bet for a young coming DM and he went for 100mil+. Even Lavia who was a punt at best went for 60 mil. Now you can go to the EU market but then you can't be certain the player can scale his performances from whatever inferior league he comes from.
