It’s all pointless when we don’t know the numbers. But him being listed for transfer certainly doesn’t make him as expensive as if he was an indispensable starter. If the total package is less than what the laptop suggests is that not moneyball then? Just asking btw.
I guess that depends on the fee. The total package may not be too much. Especially not if he goes on to form a title winning partnership with Virg. They must already have played loads of games together so Virg knows if he likes to work with him or not. Grav played with him at Ajax no? Turns 25 in August so there’s also still some resale value there. If we want to upgrade on CB I think he should be someone to consider.
And that's why I think City won't be punished. Football has outgrown the people. Wouldn't surprise me if the government has advised City on how to move forward so they can reach the desired end game and we are just sitting here as pawns in a scheme that's unfolding in front of our eyes. Maybe someone will mention it in a book in 50 years. "Those clueless mucks thought they would get justice. Alas what they witnessed was only the beginning."
Like this is our lineup. You probably don’t even know most of them.
Schmeichel - Vestergaard, Christensen, Andersen - Kristensen, Eriksen, Højbjerg, Hjulmand, Mæhle - Wind, Højlund.
Man considering what we Danes have hearing you guys worry seems ridiculous. I think Rice, Trent and Bellingham is the best midfield you’ve had in ages. Kane, Foden, Saka is prime too.
Thanks chief but I do not. My degree is in Humanities with a dual minor in Journalism and History. Also I’m a bigger idiot than him. Like I spent 300 quid yesterday on a fancy Japanese Gyuto and a fancy cutting board. How stupid is that? I mean come on brain. At least it looks cool. https://imgur.com/a/iv2mh8m
I think the burnout was due to the fact that it was almost impossible to beat an opponent with unlimited resources and if he was close the refs would just finish him off.
I'm resigned to accepting that City won't get a meaningful punishment. Abu Dhabi simply have too much money invested in England to be punished for spending too much money on their football club. If you take your football bias out of the equation and just look at the words again. Who on earth would want to punish someone for spending too much money on your brand. No one. No one would. If anything they would want them to spend even more money if that was possible.
Nations shouldn't be allowed to own football clubs yet they do and I can't see how you stop this, realistically. The future of the Prem is going to be City, Newcastle and Chelsea up top with everyone else scrambling to find new nation state owners for themselves.
And that's why I say either disband the league and start a new company or let every team be owned by a state. I could go for South American owner with a colorful persona for us.
