Nah, our whole team suffers from the lack of fast centre backs, When the centre backs are on the half way line the spaces to press are a lot smaller, less energy expended. And the confidence that it breeds knowing they are fast enough to get back and cover adds another level of confidence to play your game. If a clusterf*** was to hit our team it would do it as it has happened this season. The positions our midfielders are playing balls across the field this season would've normally been VVD and Gomez which would give us more players in attacking positions. And sure the decision not to get in replacements for the centre backs is shocking

Couldn't have put the ball in Southgates court any better. Actually had a decent second half, but that first half was bad. And he needs to stop retreating when faced with an attacker. Let's them run 20-30 yards at him then is f***ed if he mistimes a tackle as he is in his own box.

I blame the players on the pitch. That first half was as abysmal as I have seen from a Liverpool team. There is no excuse for that lack of desire and control. To turn up in a game of that magnitude and play like that is f***ing schite. It is the first time I have watched a game and thought I could sub all 10 outfield players. Yes we should have better options, but there was 10 or 11 who were schite.
