  3. Well, I'm Irish, so I don't give a monkey's about what he did in the Quarters (apart from piss our lads off) But the fact remains that he's a slimeball diving ugly feckin manc kebab shop chain owner in waiting, and when he sobs his likkle heart out it makes me happy. 'K?

Odonkor is quick but he looks a bit brainless to me. Osorio (Mexico) as Leo said looked VERY good, but as a CB I think, and we already have enough of them there. Ribery is a good right sider but doesn't want to come to England (or at least the Mancs - and who can blame him there ...) Wackeen isn't rated by our manager by some reports, Rodriguez... em.. no. Ronaldo? It'd be funny, but .... no. So from the best right siders at the WC, that leaves us with Beckham. Sign him up. (Not really)

  11. Excellent point by fyds. The four lads will be surrounded by Rafa and the coaches, treated very professionally, but most of all they will be MOTIVATED by the management team rather than demotivated by that Mekon. First game up against the Blades is important (they all are, I know), but if we hit the ground running, then we're away and the World Cup will be last years chip paper.

  14. Cheers lad. I'll probably go to another thread in a minute, but I just wanted to mention our boys who got NO help from the Chelsea contingent, though Ferdinand WAS class this evening as was Hargreaves. I feel for Stevie and Jamie, but they've had a 12 month season and they need their rest. Erikson is a genius for getting the best part of £18m out of the FA. Hope he takes over Man U.
  15. ... and I'm gutted for our lads tonight. Stevie, Carra, Crouchie, Scott.... Have a good rest lads. Not your fault. We love you. You'll be back.

  20. ... The "boyhood reds" thing is becoming a bit of a cliche. Whether it's true in Bellamy and Pennant's case though doesn't really matter. Both of these players have got desire to win things. Neither of them have won a damn thing so far (as far as I know). By the time their in the early stages of their contracts with us they will play in the later rounds of the Champions League, Domestic cup semi's and finals and play their part in a team that has a chance of winning the League (I refuse to call it "The Premiership") with two or three weeks to go. Who wouldn't play their SOUL out to have a chance to do this for the team they support? Good signings, (as is Gonzales) and we have two months to make some more. Bring it on.

What I mean is this.... I'm still getting slagged off becuase I told a fellow LFC supporter in work that Stevie was off to Chelsea last year. We ALL knew this was going to happen. He changed his mind overnight and I let everyone I work with know very early in the day. Obviously, I was delighted. This fellah was late in for work that day and picked the news up from elsewhere. He now doesn't believe ANY news I have. You put your neck out on the Alves story ages ago and it seems one or two pople are having a mild "pop" at you. That is crap, to be honest. You've obviously been a Liverpool fan for a long time, longer than me I think (since '71?). You seem dissapointed that Alves is not signing. I am too, but I think Pennant is a good, good player. I'm not convinved by Kuyt and would prefer Alves (physically strong, low centre of gravity and apparently versatile), but that doesn't seem possible. I just hope that if the Alves deal is dead it's Rafa who "killed" it and not the board who couldn't reach agreement.

  25. 'pparently he's ok. Probably just got one of those violent spiky-ball plant things stuck in his socky-wocky. Elen rubbed it better for him.
