  1. That's what I had thought, but I heard yesterday, that though Gillett is not leveraged any where as much as Hicks, he is however suffering much more because of the credit crunch. I have no source, but heard it on BBC radio 5 yesterday afternoon.
  2. What is Hicks' end game? Why would an LBO monster want to hold on to a football club which, if it is to bring him rich returns, he will first of all have to spend big money. This is clearly not programmed into the personality of the Hicks' beast. So, what if his end game consists of 2 moves? 1. To raise enough money to buy out Gillett. He has to, at all costs, prevent Gillett from selling to DIC. Removing Parry may help him towards this end, as Parry has clearly been working with Gillett, and most probably been active in helping Gillett to unload his 50% to DIC. Remember, this credit crunch is hurting Gillett more than Hicks, so a quick sale to DIC releasing £200m is no small thing. 2. If he succeeds in buying out Gillett, then he holds all the cards, all the cards that can dictate how much he can sell the club to DIC for. In his head, he sees LFC as the cash cow that DIC will pay an infinite amount of money for, or at least the opportunity for DIC to bank role him towards bigger LBOs. I can't see any other reasons why he would want to hold on to a football club, several thousand miles from him, no history of association for him, couldn't even be bothered to attend the most important match of the season. DIC, Gillett, Parry and Moores, I am absolutely sure know Hicks' end game, hence Al-Ansari giving interviews stressing why he would like to own Liverpool and not Arsenal, as Liverpool has a greater financial potential than Arsenal. Should Hicks overprice us, then the warning to him is that DIC would walk away.
  3. Here you are, http://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index....opic=217043.280
  4. In chronological order, here are his posts, and make that what you will, especially his latest post: -------------------------------------------------- April 9, 2008, 01:50:19 PM First post here, so im probably going to get shot down or ignored The announcement is coming tommorow. Something along the lines of Hicks is going to buy out Gillet's shares, and that Ian Ayre (Commercial director) is going to become the CEO, Parry will be sacked Also....Gillet wasn't stuck in snow in colorado...he was in London in the same hotel as Ayre ---------------------------------------------------- April 9, 2008, 04:51:58 PM Sorry i haven't replied for so long, busy day in work. But that is what i have been told. I hope it isnt true, but my source is quite reliable, he is in the hicks camp. Unless they have been given an order to bluff everyone or something Not happy about it, but there isn't anything we can do. If we boycott, its not good for the team, and loads of people will jump at the chance to get a ticket. Hicks knows that our fans our too loyal, therefore they will always buy the merchendise and always go the game ---------------------------------------------------- Yesterday at 04:18:49 PM What did i tell you guys? ---------------------------------------------------- Yesterday at 04:21:42 PM We should support Parry, Moores, Gillet....everyone apart from that ..edited.. obese yank ---------------------------------------------------- Today at 08:48:10 AM Sorry to be the bearer of bad news....we are getting another announcement at some point today from the PR machine. Probably when the fat texan wakes -----------------------------------------------------
  5. I would rather Parry stayed, for now. Hicks is a real snake, isn't he? Look how he's implicated Rafa in the sacking of Parry.
  6. It's the Daily Mail. Disgusting rag. Don't believe anything they write.
  7. Thank goodness you corrected yourself there.
  8. So, where DIC representatives actually there last night, and if so, any further news? Just got up with a cracking headache and wondered what happened last night, then I remembered! What a night! Anyway, back to hoping DIC would conclude the deal very soon.
  9. Why? Did not think it was a penalty?
  10. Thank God for that. Brilliant performance afterall. To follow Liverpool one needs a good ticker, me thinks. Well done lads. Thought Gerrard was superb today even though he said it was one of his worst performance in a red shirt. I have truly lost my voice and hope to have it back for the Chelsea match. By the way, do we play away first or not? WELL DONE YOU REDS!
  11. COME ON YOU REDS!!!
  12. I waited to watch MOTD hoping they would discuss Plessis and Liverpool's performance. Alas, I didn't realise Arsenal were only playing with themselves.
  13. The kids were magic today. Plessiss and Lucas and Arbeloa made me proud. The best moment was watching Wenger as ball boy. How he must hate the sight of us, and long may it last. Roll on Tuesday!
  14. I feel giddy now....COME ON YOU MIGHTY REDS!!!!
  15. HL5

    So then

2nd leg is always when I really get nervous, even if we already have a massive lead. Good luck tonight you mighty Reds!!
  16. I know why you are doing this. Superstition. You are simply putting the mockers on them, aren't you? Saying they are going to win and invoking the very opposite? Keep up with the chants and you never know.

    Stat Attack

    Yes, in all competitions.

You are quite right. This is indeed a freak year for Ronaldo (he who waxes his eyebrows). Wait till Slur Alex buys a new striker next season. I believe things would be a tad different.

    Riise

Hats off to him, he played very well today.
  20. Goodluck to him. Can't say I'll miss him at all. I recall Harry Radnapp laughing at us when we bought Crouch from him. Though after Rafa developed his game Harry wanted to buy him back for Portsmouth.
  21. Just a little concerned for Carragher. Hope he behaves in the box because he has got off lightly so far, and the way the refs are at the moment he might become our next victim.
  22. Webb has only refereed one game for us this season in the premier league, and these are the stats from that game: 28 Oct Liverpool 1-1 Arsenal . Yellow cards to Voronin, Masch, Carrager and for Arsenal, yellow carded Rosicky, Toure and Fabregas.
  23. Please just lets all forget today and go to bed and pray D.I.C. lift our hopes again soon. And this time for real. Goodnight.
  24. Thanks for the good analysis, jmd4211. Anyway, what happened to your lot today? Was gunning for you, sorry about the pun, after our embarrassing loss today. Of the 3 remaining, I'd much rather have Arsenal win the title.
