  1. Unfair. Kuyt 7, considering he was played out of position. I think he coped admirably.

One would imagine only if Gillet, for some strange reason, accepts the lower bid. It's up to Gillet.

Good question. I would imagine that would be up to Gillet, and if so, why would he take less than D.I.C. would offer him?
  4. You got me there!
  5. Yes he does, when he gets the time. Movie stars however only get paid when they are working. Granted, their working life could be considered considerably longer than footballers'. Then again you can argue that movies can bring more joy than many football matches. Take your pick.
  6. Amazing! No wonder my brother, a senior cardiologist, has stopped following the beautiful game. He recently told me that whenever he watched football and noticed even the subs who never get picked, command salaries far far greater than he could imagine, he became disillusioned. He works literally round the clock saving people's lives everyday. I can see his point, but as I said to him sometimes life sucks. Then again, he is a Chelsea fan.
  7. Oh God, he better not ask Rafa to play in goal then. What a load of rubbish. This is what happens when you try to be too clever and write an article that is so negative.

Question. So if Gillet is wanting to sell his shares to D.I.C. why is Hicks so against it? Why is he afraid of D.I.C. owning the same number of shares as Gillet? Would Hicks approve of the sale if it were anyone else but D.I.C.? Because as far as I see it the status quo will be maintained, 50/50, no difference from when Gillet was his partner.

Damn, more doom and gloom. When will we be shot of this lot?
  10. Hope you are right.
  11. Unfortunately for me this imposes a huge question. Should we now fail to progress in the champions league, God forbid, Gerrard has now put himself in arguably a very debatable position. Does he care enough to put in the extra effort, or since his collection of medals already includes a champions league medal, is this now the end of the season for our Gerrard? He should have kept these thoughts to himself, or discussed with his manager and team behind closed doors. We are all over the back pages of the press today for the wrong reasons. We don't deserve this.
  12. Agree with you. Thought it over simplistic and bluntly ignoring the background turmoil. In fact I am convinced he was laying a lot of the blame on Rafa and the fans.
  13. I'd say there was a whole load of quality from Torres! Cheer up...we won after a tough Champions League battle.

Ant has been ranting consistently to be rid of Benitez. Pity for him yesterday's result did not present him with more fire for his campaign. If he goes we will be cursed for a long time. Unlike GH he has a few good classy players who may very well think again.
  17. Great Great result. What a performance. Masch was superb and Kuyt was sublime, great work rate and to top it with a beautiful goal. Gerrard's goal again was top drawer. I am going to have a really good evening now! Thank you Rafa and the boys.
  18. COME ON YOU REDMEN!!!
  19. This morning on Sky Sunday Supplement, Patrick Barclay suggested the problem was not Rafa but the English players, like the swash-buckling untouchable Steven Gerrad who are holding back the club. What do you think?
  20. Damn, must have touched the wrong buttons. My mistake, I guess.
  21. Do you think Gerrard would believe this? Just asking.
  22. Thank goodness you don't!
  23. Totally agree with you. People have got to be realistic and support the team when we are doing badly. The players selected were an ok side. If you have to play the blame game then a number of them were guilty. Carrager, Crouch, Riise just to name a few.
  24. I agree wholeheartedly. Plain and simple, the lack of a substantial weekly revenue, not to mention club merchandise will make the banks sit up and take notice.
  25. Oh, it's you again. Go on offer us another option.
