  1. As posted on the Match Thread, you were on tv It was on live over here in Ireland and just after Joey Barton laid the flowers, they showed a clip of the crowd & there u were rolling up your sleeves.
  2. Yes you did, I saw him too when they cut to the crowd just after Barton laid the flowers.....rolling up his sleeves

  4. As I'm sure in Brian Kettle's limited days with us, many Koppites were waiting to shout "put Kettle on" as he warmed up
  5. Hey Redden, i don't suppose you have another angle on that please, say the one taken from the tripod in the background ?
  6. ......irony is clearly lost on that guy. Some of the responses are class.
  7. There's a trolley dash in Tesco that afternoon, so demand for tickets for Goodison is reportedly quite low.
  8. The"Justice for the 96" chant came over quite clear on the TV. Sounded like a super atmosphere all through for a game that was so poor.
  9. how could i have forgotten him ?
  10. difficult one this time : Reina (made a few good saves on PSVs rare attacks) Pennant Agger although nobody really stood out
  11. Joe Cole coming back has improved their attacking options and also playing Essien right back seems to add far more to that side then Ferreira (sp?). However, I think their bench isn't as potent as it was in 2005 when he used to throw on Gudjonnsen, Cole, Duff etc together to rescue games that were slipping away from them.
  12. 3 out of 4 semi-finalists are the same as 2005. Who did Milan beat in the 2005 semi ? my memory is f***ed.
  13. Richard Keyes said to Gullit & Gary Mac aftwards that the 2nd leg will be at Anfield
  14. ".. I have, myself, full confidence that if all do their duty, if nothing is neglected, and if the best arrangements are made, as they are being made, we shall prove ourselves once again able to defend our Anfield home, to ride out the storm of war, and to outlive the menace of tyranny, if necessary for years, if necessary alone.....................We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in Athens, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our Anfield, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills;....... until, in God's good time, Rafa's red Army, with all its power and might, steps forth to raise it SIX times." " COME ON RED MEN !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  17. fair enough. Perhaps i shouldn't have been so harsh then
  18. Spurs have the 2nd worst defensive record in the top 14 teams. For a club with media darlings such as Paul Robinson, Pascal Chimbonda, Ledley King (albeit he's been injured most of the season) & Michael Dawson at the back, that is a deplorable stat.
  19. The Charlton v Reading game sounds like a thriller. 0-0 after 67 mins. Can't be arsed watching it on TV, but just looked at the Beeb's live text on it. Nothing but throw-ins and goal kicks.

  21. Should we make it through to CL safely, it's going to make it right interesting for Liverpool fans about who should be the 4th team in : Would we like to see Arsenal finish outside top 4 ? YES Would we like to see Fat Sam & his side being rewarded with a CL place ? I'm not so sure I do. Would we like to see the Blues**** rewarded with a top 4 place ? No (i.m.o.). Hobson's choice, eh ? (or is it Murphy's choice ? )
  22. All very true.....but at the same time it would be so much a different task for him to manage £30m-£50m egotists (eg Rooney, Ferdinand) than it is to manage the current mixture he has of young lads trying to make it in the game and experienced pros happy to be getting a wage (eg Miller & Connolly). It is easy to see how he can be patient & understanding with the players he has at Sunderland when they underperform.......I just cannot see it being so simple for him were he managing some of the ManU players of today.
