Not sure how I feel about the constant close ups of players, ex-players, club management etc and their written messages being put out by the club on social media. Another one this morning with Gerrard and his academy members.

Agree on both counts. It's a short career and everyone looks out for themselves - clubs and players. As awful as the last week has been Diaz has a very small window to sort stuff out. There's no doubt the club will be working behind the scenes on stuff as well. Agents leaking stuff is all part of the dance.

It will 100% come back. This is probably the weirdest and most uncertain part right now. Pre season is always sh*t as well with a big vacuum to be filled.

Been thinking about my colleagues of a similar age to him and how young they are. We view players' age through a pure football prism don't we? 28 is seen as someone at the peak of their powers, experienced, senior member of the squad, good career etc. Madness really. They are all young lads. Fck knows how they are going to react to it short and medium term. They are going to be have to be treated with kid gloves by everyone; management, media and especially fans.

I'm not sure about this. Slot simply doesn't rate him. He might make an emotional decision to stay and then in October be absolutely miserable sat on the bench whilst Wirtz tears it up.

All feels too soon but imagine it's going to be the busiest period now. CB replacement for Quansah. Nunez with Napoli and Diaz clearly wants to leave. Elliott as well. Don't envy those in charge who inevitably will have to have that conversation and subsequent action.

Nobody's fkin business what he was or wasn't doing. People gegging in on something that has fck all to do with them.

You can trace a lot of the anti EU sentiment of 2016 back to the Global Financial Crisis and the fallout from that. Inequality, austerity, tax avoidance and the anti elite populist rhetoric that came from that by the Leave campaign. Obviously there was loads of racist stuff as well but it's not as simple as anti immigration full stop.

Brexit should never have been put to the public vote. Lots of people were tricked into thinking they were voting against inequality and austerity. There were loads of racist d****eads as well.
