I've already seen comments from City fans saying that media and refs will make a league win happen for us off the back of it. This is within two days of his death. Anything will be fair game once the title race gets underway.
Hope I'm wrong but all the evidence suggests otherwise.
Of course. That didn't seem to be what you suggested with Elliott though - or at least it seemed not. Others have said no more ins or outs. That's what I was referring to. Big decisions made under highly emotional circumstances tend to be irrational. Anyway, it's no biggie.
Fabrizio Romano has done 14 posts on this in the last 36 hours. I know his whole business model is built for how many likes he gets but fkin hell. Instant updates and recycling of sensitive news for incidents like this are not good for anyone, imo.
I understand why you might feel like this now but I seriously doubt we will halt all business for what would probably be 12 months.
Some lads will probably be quite far down the line with moves away. It's a short career and, as we've seen, a short life. Once they get over the initial shock some might actually welcome a move away from what might feel like a suffocating atmosphere, who knows? Everyone deals with it differently.
It feels raw right now but, to put it brutally, life goes on. When they're back out on the pitch - in training or in matches it will get easier. The club, players and fans will all move on pretty quickly. His family, however, won't.
Fck yeah I'd forgotten about the tour.
I've worked in schools where kids have died in horrific circumstances who were also in my class. The first few days are horribly painful but it's also comforting to be surrounded by people who knew them and are sharing your feelings. They'll be ok but it will be very hard and weird at first.
Due to be back in on Monday I think for pre-season. Will be hard at first but will quite possibly make them a stronger unit medium to long term. The new lads must be dreading it though.
