I'm still in the keep him until the end of season camp, to really see how this all plays out, but to your point, although the focus on him is this season for obvious reasons, the reality is we have a body of evidence from last season too.
The football we played last season was also slow. Any press and urgency you could argue came from players either continuing habits or players like Diaz and even Darwin who just play that way.
He also showed that he doesn't trust many players. As a result we've lost young talent that actually we've needed this season.
Plus the other teams in the league stank the place out and so we coasted.
I don't look back at last season and think to myself, Slot was a genius. I liked how he moved Grav and allowed Salah freedom and it made sense, but it was also quite stale at times.
All that said, so much change and injuries and tragedy this first half of the season, so I'd like to see where we are in May then I'll decide personally on whether I want Slot or not. I'm 50/50 currently.
