  1. "F*ck off Welbeck, were you accusing me of doing this impression?"
  2. That would be great. Unfortunately though, the press arent working for us.
  3. Bulldog, terrier or spaniel....england are sh*t regardless.
  4. Defend properly?
  5. I dont believe that for a second. It's never his decision, he loves all the limelight and glory, he wouldnt jack it in of his own accord. IMO he's been told he wont be picked anymore and that retiring would save face. Plus Hodgson's always backed him to the hilt and said he'd pick him - so this will be the FA going over Hodgson's head and telling him he cant pick Terry. A manager with balls (like Capello) wouldnt stand for it and walked, but Hodgson's not of that ilk so he'll put up with it. And if the FA have told Hodgson that Terry cant be picked, it can only be because they've decided to find him guilty.
  6. I'm havin' that!
  7. Same here. Shelvey at least gets into the opposition box and into threatening positions. He might well make the wrong decision or deliver a poorly struck shot but he's a kid, of course that's gonna happen. The vast majority of his weaknesses are things that'll improve with age, experience and nous. I have no problem with him getting some first team starts to help aid his development - he's showing enough to suggest he's worth patience.

    FSG Watch...

I'm curious as to how the owners are going to put the blame onto Ayre, if that's what'll happen. Presumably he was given a figure he could bid and not go beyond. If we missed out due to the bid being too low, that points to what the owners would sanction, surely.

Playing Devil's Advocate for a minute, could i not say that our system only uses one striker anyway? So Suarez is the striker. If he's out, it's Borini. If he's out, then you've got Sterling. Not ideal by any means of course, but we've got an option down to 3rd choice, with Morgan coming in as 4th choice (a point we'd be very unlucky to get to). Obviously there's an issue as Borini and potentially Sterling are going to be playing as the wide players in the system. If it comes to it, we could put Gerrard in the right sided position (with a strong CM still) and failing that and/or for the left, we've always got Downing

Leo's point about young players is a fair one, it doesnt always work out obviously but Sterling is a current example of a kid who has brought some real potential quality to the side. If others can do the same, then all the better.

  12. They're waiting for racism to become extinct.
  13. That's fair enough. I was at the Hawthorns and heard it.
  14. They'll find something new to chew on at some point, yeah. I still think Glen Johnson should accuse Rooney of abusing him when we play them and see how the FA deals with it.
  15. It was definitely your stream. He got booed throughout, with the lame "Luis Suarez, you know what you are" song being sung several times.
  16. I've only had a quick skim-read through that, but unless i've missed it, there seems to be very little mention of the 'r' word.
  17. Aye it will, but the best course of action is to not give them any soundbites on it. Keep doing that and they'll eventually get bored.
  18. You're right but the problem is that for the mainstream media and majority of football watchers/pundits in this country, Luis is the bad guy here and everytime he protests his innocence, he's going to get slaughtered for it. The whole issue affected his form negatively and i dont see a positive outcome from bringing it up again and getting the same nonsense from all quarters. It'll be mentioned and he'll get asked but the best answer is to say "That was in the past and i've now moved on".
  19. Oh god, please dont re-mention the whole evra thing again. He's right in what he's said but there's nothing to be gained by bringing it up again and getting all the media sh*thouses on our case yet again.
  20. They're hoping that if it gets delayed long enough, everyone will just forget about it and they wont have to do anything to him.
  21. Dunno but i really hope he is.
  22. Ah yeah, it is indeed vs France, i'd forgotten that. Perhaps Tabarez's decision wasnt entirely down to doing us a favour for the start of the season then
  23. Not sure if it's been posted, but Uruguay have kindly not called Suarez up for their friendly on August 15th. Nice touch from Tabarez.
