  1. If I was looking to invest in the club for purely financial reasons . I would wait until the end of summer. If the current board don't do well in the transfer market , it would create a bigger backing for change from the fans and could possibly force the price down a wee bit And speaking of the ticket office , went up for my season ticket the other day and there was stunner working there who was both helpful and pleasant - things are on the up

    The Italian Job

I think that you'll find repeated inflation-busting Season Ticket rises are tantamount to the same idea

    Henry vs. Stevie

The pont that I was trying to make was that Henry's decision to stay was appluaded by the press whereas Stevie's decision to stay was derided , with some of the huge-headed laboratory experiments that make up the cockney press ,having to believe scare stories to make sense of why he didn't move to the Kings Road

    Adam Pepper

No doubt the blues will be telling themselves that he's never been that good anyway.

    Henry vs. Stevie

Personally I think the main difference has been the press reaction to their respective decisions. Henry has been aplauded for his loyalty whereas in some quarters Gerrard was derided for being small time and provincial and the "threats to family" story was given as an excuse for him not wanting to go and play for Romans millions in the capital city.

    Defoe

I saw it in the Sporting Life
  8. Ex-Chesterfield manager John Duncan was on it last time they turned it down
  9. If they want to look at why they have not been successful then look no further than this quote from that forum "I think Gordon Lee was ahead of his time and nobody appreciated him"
  10. ...and a worldbeater at stroking his hair. Seriously he and Robbie carried that team for a good 3 years.

    Pennant

To be honest I've never been overly impressed with Pennant until I've watched him closely this season. He had a great game at Anfield and more importantly for somebody who has had his attitude questioned, he was still busting a gut to do something when we were beating them 7-0 in the cup. He may not be a world beater but he has seemed very consistent this year , which is something needed to do well in the league. My only fear is his liking for the ale - Liverpool is not exactly a teetotal city so if he wants a bevvy he'll find it with ease.

    The Fowler Song

(To the tune of Amore) When the ball hits the net Its a fairly safe bet that its Fowler And When Liverpool score You can hear the Kop roar "Robbie Fowler" Ian Rush, Roger Hunt Who's the best man up front? "Robbie Fowler" He's the King of the Kop He's the best of the lot Robbie Fowler
  13. If it's true , it would probably more to do with the fact that young South Americans often struggle to adapt to a European way of life , away from a large family unit. Helping him settle in a place where he could at least speak the language might soften the blow a bit.
  14. Nice One Squirrel would have been far more appropriate

For anybody that can't view the other files there's a borrowers size slo-mo RIGHT HERE
  16. I think the first one might be legit. Some lad on one of the sites a while ago said that he saw it at a VIP trade show where cameras where strictly banned. He said that there was something wierd on the back and he would know it when it was shown on the net.
  17. Great goal and great team play similar to the home game against the Geordies. To be fair to Shearer (though I don't know why) most great players become utter moaning twunts in their latter years , King Kenny had it down to an artform.
  18. Mittal apparently owns upto 30% of the world's steel , it can't all be low quality , and if he can provide it at cost then the new stadium would be a lot cheaper
  19. Josemi was rated as being worth the same as Kromkamp. Who the Spanish side valued at £4.7mil to save face.
  20. It was in the 'additional comments' section of the Annual Report and it did quote a straight swap valued at £4.7m. As it's a straight swap it doesn't matter what value is placed on it , it seems it has been valued at £4.7m sinply so the Spanish side can say that they have not lost money on the deal , having payed that amount to get him originally
  21. Is this like "hands in the bucket if you don't like..." when I was a kid?
  22. The people complaining are probably the same people who sat in K Stand at Old Trafford for years throwing anything and everything vat visiting supporters below , and somehow managing to carry pool balls , hammers etc passed the ever vigilant GM bizzies
  23. Is right! I've got my own verb Don't see what the fuss is myself , have Liverpool v Man Utd games ever been any different? Twenty years of getting coins , piss and pool balls chucked at you along with getting CS Gassed by the bizzies for complaining as they shrugged their shoulders at a 15 year old getting his cheek cut off , it all sort of makes common decency disappear for a couple of hours at least. If you got jumped in the street would you try and fight by Queensbury rules? - no because primal urges take over , and during games against Man Utd that is exactly what happens. You may not feel that is appropriate at a football match , but it happens nonetheless so either get used to it , learn to ignore it or give the grudge games a miss.
