watched the pompey game as well as others on telly I have been watching football since 1967 ( my first game was everton v chelsea in 1967) I have seen liverpool loads of times live and on telly all my life they have been a footballing side full of passion desire and an amazing will to win. They had quality players throughout the team, not relying on 1 0r 2 players, the club didnt court the media and the football always did the talking. They were ruthless when someone was not good enough they went and were often replaced by someobe who was already in the reserves. today there was little evidence of any of this and 3 key players highlighted the problems 1 Mascherano who got sent off 2nd time this season with a bad tacklethat level of discipline is unacceptable 2 Carragher played well today but he is on the downward slope is the replacement in the reserves waiting? Doesnt look like it 3 Gerrad showed his class at times but not sure his heart is in it, its got tough and he is not leading the way he should be The other key player Torres showeed great ability but looked a bit down to me needs support on and off the pitch Just my take on things yes I am one of those awful bitter blue s****s Feel free to slaughter me Hopefully see you in Hamburg for the mickey mouse europa cup final

fact is both clubs have no money ( especially Everton) both need a new stadium fans dont want it but they dont matter cos neither club just like most premier clubs give a flying eff about the fans

never known such a bunch of moaners than you lot It was your player that messed up the first leg, but he has been overall a good player for you and you slate him. getting to the semi is a good performance and 2nd half at chelsea you didnt do enough Torres was taken off because of injury although Benotez does make bizarre decisions SG did not really perform last night and if he doesnt frankly LFC are average I think you did well to get to the semi yet you are all moaning try supporting Tranmere or Brentford etc then you might have someink to moan about

the singing of songs which are in bad taste is what they are bad taste. Its not like every LFC fan has never sung a song in bad taste ( I remember munich 58) Its just a wind up once the match was over and the people have got home its forgotten. the brief time he played for Everton he did something brilliant in nearly every game Every player has his down side I just think he has stopped improving eg if you take Steven Gerrard he was still getting better at 20 yrs old Rooney has peaked already so it looks like he is p[laying badly. I think the referreeing has been abysmal this season. Poll was clueless in the derby and was slated by both fans the offside against everton was a joke and that decision yesterday by lineo was just incompetent. I dont go with this evens itself out over the season if you lose points in a match due to poor refereeing it puts presure on the next game
