  1. Hehe, yeah I'm now getting the same message. "This Account Has Been Suspended Please contact the billing/support department as soon as possible." Ooops.
  2. Well, I can't access http://www.shareliverpoolfc.com/ at the moment. Maybe they shouldn't have put a specific launch time on the page.
  3. This content is not viewable to guests.
  4. Stop doing Ring of Fire, Ingerlund fans. =(

    New Stadium

My first impression was "I don't like the gaps in the corners". I was hoping for a more "wrap-around" space. Apart from that, it looks pretty good.

    No pics off me.

I wish the people that have seen the design had kept it to themselves. The whole "I know something you don't know" thing irritates the smeg out of me, 'cause I hate being in the dark while others aren't. Can't fault Snorky's reasons for deciding against posting the pics, mind.
  7. Oh, well, if the ratio is maintained, that extra 18,000 or so ST holders will make a real dent in the waiting list. Probably time I put my name down, now I can afford it.
  8. I doubt it, really. As part of the recent CL final tickets business, I recall Parry saying that the ST waiting list is 60,000 people (a figure he said as part of a response to some current ST holders trying to suggest they're better fans than people that want to be ST holders are are waiting for their chance). Although I doubt all 60,000 would take up the offer if it were made, I doubt the new stadium will make much of a dent in that figure. How much of the current Anfield capacity is taken up by existing STs?
  9. Aye, there was someone on North West Today thie morning saying that the screens won't be showing the game. The pubs will be busy, then.
  10. CL Final

I think that's where I watched England's opening World Cup match last year - it was rammed. There was a queue of people outside hoping to be allowed in. Was good though.

    How much?
  13. Surely "no colours" came before "colours", since replica shirts weren't sold in the old days. Or by colours do you mean red/white scarves etc.? Even then, surely just about every football fan in the country went to watch games wearing no colours if you go back far enough. I wasn't there, I'm just guessing.
  14. Oh, I don't know. Going by some of what I've read, I'm pretty embarrassed, and I wasn't even there.
  15. That would certainly make mingling with smokers a little less unpleasant, although it'd do little to counteract the potential consequences to one's health, be they long term (e.g. lung cancer) or short term (e.g. wheezing due to allergic reaction). Of course, if it weren't for the taxes raised due to sales, I'm sure they'd be banned from sale outright.
  16. Well, yes, because they're different smells. That's not really the point, though, as in all cases I'd probably change my clothes. Wood smoke is generally pleasant, anyway. Think of all the foods we eat that have been "smoked" to add flavour. Oak-smoked this, hickory-smoked that; salmon, sausage, haddock, ham... I doubt there's any market for cigarette-smoked foods. =)
  17. Barbie smoke isn't the same as cigarette smoke. I dislike the smell of fag smoke. I like the smell of barbies, and I like the smell of bonfires. I even quite like the smell of cigar smoke.
  18. s***? It's awesome news! And not before time.
  19. I hope that's tounge in cheek, if not outright sarcasm. There are plenty of "super duper fans" that are not season ticket holders. Who's the bigger fan, a ST holder for whom £600 is a week's pay, who gets his ticket without any effort, or the low-waged guy that denies himself other pleasures or even essentials simply to get a ticket, stands in the rain at the TO, spends hours trying to get through on the phone, whatever. I really dislike this idea that ST holders are somehow "better fans" simply because they're ST holders. I of course accept that amongst ST holders there are likely to be many for whom £600 is a lot of money, but there will also be those that see £600 as relative "loose change" and don't even attend all the games they have tickets for.
  20. I'm upset at not getting a ticket, but it's plain to anyone with an ounce of brain that when demand outstrips supply, not everyone can be satisfied. It's a problem this year because so many of us have 6 credits. It wasn't a problem in 2005 (I got a ticket to Istanbul with 5 credits). We want to see the numbers because we want to be able to shout, kick and scream about how unfair it all is, but the reality is that releasing those numbers won't help us, and won't make us feel any better about it. I think Parry's point about people going to the unglamourous early games being squeezed out for semi-final & finals tickets is fair, and a fair argument against cross-competition loyalty. With cross-competition loyalty, those that go to the early ties could still end up behind those that go to quarter-finals or better across more than one cup. It's still UEFA that are the root of the problem - that and the popularity of our club. But popularity is a by-product of success, so that should be seen as a good thing.
  21. And what then? Will there be another ballot on Wednesday for those of us who missed out first time round? Then they'll haveto write to use. Then wait for replies. Rinse. Repeat. Braindead, whoever thought this scheme up.
  22. I think there's a problem with that poll. It won't let me submit it with only a selection in the first part. i.e. even though the second part isn't relevant, I had to select an option, despite being a "Unsuccessful in ballot not going to Ahens without ticket" person. So deduct one from the "up to 200 Euros" count, as that's me.
  23. THOUSANDS of Liverpool FC season ticket holders have been left heartbroken after missing out on tickets to the Champions League final. Pff, not just ST holders, the poor loves.
  24. You'll have to give me the number for that secret hotline, mate! Takes me about three f***ing hours to get through. =)
  25. As a fan card holder, I'd be happy with that up to a point. Getting the tickets in the first place is the trick. I might want to go to every home game. I might even be able to afford it. But actually getting tickets to them all is another matter entirely.
