  1. Just adding my vote for Highland and Libyan. O_o
  2. They're all rank.
  3. My copy of the Anfield Rap arrived today. \o/ And, even better, it's a twelve-inch! Side 1: Anfield Rap (red machine in full effect) Full Time Mix Side 2: Anfield Rap (red machine in full effect), Anfield Rap (red machine dub) The sleeve photos are teh pwn! I just need to dig out my old turntable and play it, now.
  4. It has changed, yes... I absolutely love the new design. I think it looks fantastic, and the only shame is that when it's unveiled on Wednesday, I'll be underneath it on the Kop, so won't be able to see it in all its glory. Whether one actually likes the design or not (I do), the artist has done a phenomenal job. Brilliant, brilliant.
  5. The regulations (available here) state: "Article 5 Away goals, extra time ...extra time of two periods of 15 minutes shall be played at the end of the second leg. If, during extra time, both teams score the same number of goals, away goals count double (i.e. the visiting club qualifies). If no goals are scored during extra time, kicks from the penalty mark determine which club qualifies for the next stage"
  6. I worked for The Tote in Wigan for a year. Seldom ventured farther afield than the local ASDA though, or the occasional walk into the town centre for a pie at lunchtime. =)
  7. I only spent 2 hours online trying to get tickets this morning. It took an hour before I was even able to log in. I got to select my stand at least 6 times. I got to select the number of tickets about 4 times. Tantalisingly close! Ultimately, however, it always timed out or couldn't find the server, so in the end no tickets for me. Frustrating stuff, but I always knew it'd be a high demand game. Ah well, at least my Liverpool vs. Benfica CL tickets arrived this morning. \o/
  8. Gerrard must be at the last chance bar, too, if he keeps on making schoolboy errors like this. Gotta love the lad's little wink at the end.
  9. Personally, I think he was wrong about the red card. Yellow, sure, but having seent he replays it doesn't look like a straight red to me. Of course, at the match I thought it was an swesome decision. Another one I didn't get, though, was when someone (Alonso? not sure) was brought down from behind when entering the box. Looked like a foul to me, but the ref must have decided the Brum player got the ball. How, then, was it a goal kick? If the Brum player got the ball, it was a corner, surely. It seems that cuddling the ball on the ground isn't classed as handball, too. At least, that's what it looked like in block MW. Overall, rubbish ref. It won't be long before he's relegated from the Premiership refs again, I hope.
  10. TBH, I think Terry's OK. Even when speaking about Anfield and the Champions League, he came across as a decent sort. Maybe I cut him extra slack because he's not like most of the influx of Chelsea mercs; he is a product of Chelsea that predates the Russian, having played in their youth and reserve teams. He used to play for Senrab FC, IIRC, a Sunday league team from London. Senrab reversed is Barnes, so he can't be all bad.
  11. In the 6 matches between yesterday and mid-February, we have to play all of the other teams in the top 6. We did a job against Spurs, so that's one out of the way, but the next clutch of Premiership matches are really going to go a long way in determining our finishing position, I reckon. Just look at what we've got coming up: Sun Jan 22 - Man Utd v Liverpool Wed Feb 1 - Liverpool v Birmingham Sun Feb 5 - Chelsea v Liverpool Sat Feb 11 - Wigan v Liverpool Tue Feb 14 - Liverpool v Arsenal Next Sunday's game might be what they call a "six-pointer" when it comes to sealing second. I think it's a bridge too far to really hope for top spot, given Chelsea's consistency, but you never know. I haven't included Birmingham in the "four to go" 'cause, well, they're not a threat in terms of the top of the table, but of course the points would be very welcome, thank you very much. So, whaddya reckon? Really excited about the next 5 games, or really nervous? For me, it's a bit of both. Some huge games there; some heated rivalries, old and new. I'm a pessimist; I can see points being dropped, but I'd love to be proven wrong.
  12. Oi! That's the design I stumped my cash up for. Don't go changing it now! =)
  13. Unrelated, and I apologise for "hijacking" the thread for my own purpose, but I recall a Liverpool-based sculptor that was producing house number plaques with the LFC liverbird on. I'd like one, and have tried Googling to no avail; can anyone remember the name of the guy, or even better, have the URL to his web site? A cup replica sounds good, but I don't think I can run to £350. May well pop off $10 to the NY outfit though. If I happen to win, any idea what the postage costs will be? =)
