  1. Sorry mate but I disagree. He scored some absolute screamers, no one is denying that, but at the same point he had a propensity to shoot from distance when there were better options on. He had a good goals to games record but that was generally cos he'd have 4/5 strikes on goal per game regardless and most of those would flash wide/over. Seriously remember getting so frustrated with him when he'd do that - much like I do when Riise is in one of his 'moods' these days.

  3. Nasty, she's very young to be getting them isn't she. At least she's getting them out of the way now. Mind you don't get them an all
  4. ES, I hope Gerrard has had the chicken pox before!
  5. Used to get annoyed with his shooting a lot of the time - it was very Riise-esque at times. Also didn't appreciate the way he celebrated scoring against us the season after he left us, while playing for Portsmouth.
  6. Rigobert's brother obviously. We're signing him so Robbie can eat some grass/ sniff goal lines after scoring again.
  7. Yes we've signed Aguero, this lad is going to be the next Maradona and he's all ours!!!
  8. Nah was definitely after Arsenal dropped points against Southampton. Link
  9. I think Barnes qualified through the residency rule. Of course there are a few examples in other countries - Pernia and Senna have both declared for Spain recently through the same means. Basically if you hold a passport for a particular country and haven't played for any other international team in a competitive international then you can declare for that country I believe. Anyone remember Roy Wegerle playing for the USA because his wife was American?

Djibs has always talked a good game.
  12. You are Michael Carrick and I claim my £5.
  13. Laughing at Tom Cruise and Michael Owen? Height-ist!!
  14. I thought it was only GH that hated him? He probably did us a favour by selling Boumsong to the highest bidder in the end
  15. Signed a new contract on the 21 March. Link
  16. Don't think Milan will be getting rid of Ancelotti any time soon, specially when they only recently had him sign a new contract.
  17. I disagree and if anything proves that it's this season. Only for a very, very fortunate last minute goal at OT we'd have finished ahead of United... and lest we forget we did dominate that game. Not like that kinda thing 'evened itself up during the course of the season' is it? I can't think of any game this season that we won after being on the back foot like that for the whole game.
  18. I'd give Rooney that honour to be honest.
  19. Just heard a half time report on the radio - reporter says that Stefanovic was the nearest player to him and immediately called for the ball to be put out of play when Xabi went down... not looking good
  20. Do you reckon Xabi's ankle is broken? EDIT - just seen the subsequent posts, please ignore.
  21. Add to that calling Crouch a basketball player last season etc, etc. I think he always was a c*nt. But he was mates with GH so never said anything bad about us, instead he saved his ire for the Mancs - and obviously we'd have less of a problem with that. On top of that, he is completly ungracious in defeat and that hasn't been as apparent in other seasons because, lets face it, they've lost a lot more this season than previously.
  22. McManaman was also the first BIG Bosman transfer in Europe really, certainly involving a Premiership club. We felt very aggrieved and rightly so that he had basically taken the money we should have got from his transfer fee and helped to increase his salary. Weird thinking back now but for one season McManaman was the best paid player in world football and that was because Real didn't have to give us any money for him. He continued to be one of the top paid players in the world during his entire spell at Real... which is why he was able to retire so early.
  23. With Kewell you have to remember that he has only 2 years left on his contract this summer. With that in mind I've a feeling this could be the first shot across the bow in the contract negotiations - ie 'We're happy to sell you if you start looking for too much money.'
  24. And the funny thing was he was being talked about as a replacement for Smicer, if I remember the speculation correctly!!
  25. Yep, but think it was always with a hefty pinch of salt that one.
