They both run nearly as quickly with the ball as they do without it and can change direction quickly. I think the impact they each have is a bit different though. Robben is more likely to score himself and Messi is more likely to create.

They're very different IMO. Robben is all about pace and fleet of foot. Messi is a far more clever player. I think Messi will eventually play through the centre anyway.

He's not quite the player he was, but I still think getting rid of Stam was the worst move Ferguson made as United manager, even worse than signing Veron. He was a collossus for them. -

He reminds me more of Henry than Owen. He has incredible acceleration and fantastic balance. There's a strange elegance about the way he runs with the ball, the same that Henry has. I don't know if he's better out wide or up front though, I don't think he's a natural goalscorer.

Nicholas, Gray, Nevin, Houghton, McQueen, McCoist...can anyone see a trend developing here? Why is nearly every scottish pundit a c*nt? McClintock and to a lesser extent McInally are bearable but the rest are like a police line-up for crimes against sense.

Luis Garcia is the epitome of what seperates Rafa from these idiots. They see a "lightweight" foreigner who gives the ball away and whose all-round game is awful. Rafa sees a little genius who can create moments of brilliance from nothing, is clever enough to make those around him play better and scores a load of goals from midifeld and works his boll*cks off.
