All i can say is, i wasn't even drunk! I'm blaming jet lag. Anyway - I meant Barcelona. If one of our defenders was also a top dog destroyer it would provide extra cover when e have so many committed forward to dominate the opposition, allowing for better recovery when our pressing lets one through.

I think we need to look at something new for out defense. If we're intent on using a quarterback in our DM view, which is incredibly effective, we need to look at a super mobile defender for tracking down the escapees from our pressing efforts. We need to do something like Madrid did with Mascherano and convert a highly paced destroyer into the CM role for the level of cover we need.

What about the likes suso, boroni and ibe coming back into the squad too? And textarea must be almost ready for the first team. These guys fit the FSG bill and will probably improve our squad too. Alberto looks a player - what's happening with him? I don't expect major millions being spent, but then I do expect more than just consolidating our position. The CL is the biggest competition in world sport, and I've always fancied that is what FSG want a crack at.

He scores a lot of goals but Torres in his prime had more range to his scoring. More finesse. Sturridge is more shotgun to an in his pomp Torres rapier.
