It is almost always better to start with Kelly than Johnson, as good as Johnson is going forward Kelly is the better all round player and didnt deserved to be dropped when Glen got back from injury. Kelly really is superb, he is pretty decent supporting the attack down the right too, got the lot, Johnson has one major flaw, his defending, and he is afterall a defender. He would be better off on the wing and I'm certainly not part of 'that wouldn't workl brigade' I reckon he would be awesome there as he has all the skills needed to play that role.

Two things: IMHO Kelly is better than Johnson and would be my 1st pick, but I think our defence is f***ing ace. Are people REALLY advocating Downing should start over Bellamy, WTF is up with you people

Mmmm Downing or Henderson for a starting role in the Final at the expense of Bellamy? Henderson.

He could be my joint favourite player, if he wanted to like. At the moment it is Suarez, Stevie, Lucas, Agger, Jose, Kelly and Sterling.

He's not in the team. Carroll up top with Suarez and Bellamy buzzing around him - could be lethal that and means we are going at teams rather than worrying about them too much like we did away at the mancs. It is 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1, or however you want to say it. Downing is a 100% 4-4-2 man, doesnt have anywhere near the goal threat to be a wide forward in a 4-3-3 and I think Bellamy is much the better player.

I'm thinking a proper midfield three with a holding player, a playmaker type and an attacking midfielder where: Holding - Lucas Playmaker - Adam/Henderson Attacking - Gerrard With Carroll being supported up top by Bellamy and Suarez cutting in and buzzing about like Barca's attackers do.

Played well yesterday, should keep him on the left when he plays. Our best front six for me would be: Lucas Henderson/Adam Gerrard Suarez Carroll Bellamy Bellamy defends, as does Gerrard from that position, bored of worrying what other teams might do like last Saturday against the mancs, lets frighten them to death instead. Bringing Downing on if we need to change it, although that front six looks pretty awesome to me.

I think our strongest midfield when every body is fit includes Lucas holding, Gerrard pushing on and either Henderson or Adam alongside Lucas and I cant for the life of me work out which. Gerrard NEEDS to be the one to have the freedom to attack, none of the others can do it, which is why Kenny surprised me by playing Henderson and Gerrard the wrong way round against the mancs. Hmmmm... Henderson or Adam? f***ed if I know.

I'd like to see an attacking quartet of Stevie behind Carroll with Suarez and Bellers buzzing around

I'd play him everytime to be honest, but always in a midfielder three with Gerrard ahead of him and either Lucas/Spearing. Balance and assists for £6.5m, sound.
