He has issued 2 statements, 1 of which he states that he told Rafa to concentrate on coaching the team and mockingly inferred Rafa didn't like it. The guy comes across as a mouthy C*ck who always wants to be right. After Rafas comments on Saturday where he made some sound, reasonable statements the whole thing could have been diffused by the owners with a sound backing of Rafa. Hicks to me needs to f*** off back up his own ar$e from where he came from.

Out of the 3 games, today was probably the most frustrating of the recent results. With the other 2 meeting tomorrow (where something has to give) today was a great opportunity wasted, particularly given who we were playing. Rotation / resting players is all good and well, but why can't we play our strongest line up 9 times out of 10, by this I'm talking of "the spine",get into strong positions in them games, ie 2 or 3 up and then rotate/rest if needed? Today the penny didn't seem to drop with a lot of our lot until about 6 mins to go, then it was all huff, puff and run around with some urgency, 84 mins to late.

My take on the rumours. Gillet was originally looking to buy the club on his own, couldn't manage it on his todd and eventually persuaded Hicks to jump on board, who knows maybe thinking that he would be in it for the short term ? Now, as things stand since the takeover Hicks is smitten with us big style (maybe much more than Gillet) and wants more of a say in things etc etc. The point being it is Foster Gillet who will have a big day to day involvement come August and Hicks and maybe more so Hicks Jnr are a bit put out by this, hence the tension? Rafa / Parry and all will also have picked up on this and this is where the negativity has kicked in with this being mentioned to Bascombe. Bascombe writes what he thinks is a witty little article aimed (so he thinks ) as a wake up call but instead this stirs up a hornets nest across the forums, is picked up by the lazy B*stards at the Nationals (who we know read these things) and now we have mass hysteria the 2nd week in June when the transfer window isn't even officially open ! Chelsea have spent bu**er all, Arsenal have spent bu**er all, the Mancs have signed a player they have been after for a year and to all intents and purposes signed in January along with 2 young kids for daft money. (how many would have been jumping through hoops if we'd signed who Utd have - be honest?) I agree with Kev (Snorkys) earlier assesment. UEFA contributed a lot to this situation, as did the ticketing ballot fiasco no doubts, but I have to say I was disgusted by the attitude of a lot of "our" lot last night. I'm now getting sick to the back teeth with their high and mighty F*cking stance concerning people who they deem not worthy to support a team because they either don't talk with the "right accent" or are the wrong sex. "You c*nts have all got our tickets for your jolly out with the kids" was being hurled at one family (husband wife kids) at the start of the shambles that I was caught up in at about 7pm local time by 1 shower of s****. I wanted to make up for it last night but it was completeley soured by the off field events (I won't even start on the flight shambles). UEFA arent blameless, the ticket shambles before could have been managed better & last night could've been easily avoided with some decent organization and proper ticket checks, (How about Turnstiles for a start for christs sake), but these arrogant c*nts need to get a grip on this before we have another disaster that we are talking about. They certainly ruined things for me and a lot of others last night and I doubt i'll bother again after that showing.
