It’s pretty clear Hughes and Edwards like the ‘coach’ model because it makes them relevant but after this season I would hope FSG can see the serious flaws with this and may like to revert to having a manager role again.

If Slot is still in charge next season then I can only assume Hughes and Edwards and letting it play out like the doctors did in Shutter Island until the day comes when Slot realises he’s a s*** coach.

He really is a spoofing prick. I haven’t really said anything about him apart from he should have been sacked months ago but what he’s come out with there is embarrassing. Who’s he trying to fool with that s***?

There was that and a bunch of other stuff he did. He pissed off various senior players with his attitude, buggered off on holiday when he felt like it and made it all about him. I suppose he’s a bit of a cross between Slot and Mourinho.

It’s mad that Slot, Hughes and Edwards are all on the last year of their contracts. It may be that Hughes and / or Edwards are going to Chelsea so why would they make any attempt to bring Alonso to us? It’ll be easier for them to leave a Slot in charge regardless. They’re not fans and when things continue to be s*** next season they’ll just blame someone else anyway. FSG really should be stepping in with this.
