I think we'll bring in 3 starters next season: Simao, Alves and Henry (if this isn't all bullocks). I dont think there's anything in this Micah Richards story. Arbeloa is more than capable of covering left back with Riise. If it isn't Henry (and I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case), then we're looking at Eto'o, Bent, Tevez, Villa, etc., but I think it'll only be one striker because we also have Voronin coming in. Robbie and Bellamy to leave. Crouch/Kuyt/Voronin/Mr. X as the striking group next season. Does Simao play both left and right midfield? If so, we have enough rotation between Simao, Kewell and Pennant for the wings next season with Alves and Finnan at right bk.

Aimar can't be more expensive than £8-10M. Wasn't he a substitute for a while? and he seems to have dropped off the radar. I dont think he'd be that expensive anymore but I don't see Rafa going after him. I agree though that too many of our midfielders sit back and we need someone driving forward like Stevie from midfield. Harry is that type of player, hopefully he comes back strong. Tevez would be great on the right side. But in a 4-2-3-1, if we play Alonso and Mascherano in the 2, and Stevie, Harry and Tevez in the 3, I don't think Tevez belongs on the wing and so we lose some width (unless we have Alves pushing up from right back ).

I'm sure Masch has told Rafa that he should pick him up. He knows his quality from the Argentina camp and it's obvious Rafa watched them a lot during the WC.

I'm impressed we haven't given up many chances with the back line we have. If Arbeloa (who's shown his quality already), Insua and Paletta become very steady at the back, it'll give us plenty of possibilities.

Henry and Tevez would be class. I don't think it would cost too much either if West Ham go down, that doesn't appear to be happening they've on fire right now though.

Don't forget about zonal marking Rafa's played 4-2-3-1 against Chelsea this season when he played one up front. 4-2-3-1 becomes 4-5-1 almost simultaneously. I don't see Rafa dropping either Alonso or Mascherano, or playing Gerrard on the right.
