If we are replacing Sami, to me that means we are strengthening every position we need to for an assault next year because Sami's play hasn't fallen off that much. Big $$.

Klose and Tevez would be brilliant. Klose has been a class finisher for years but as has been mentioned here quite a lot, we need a player with flair in the final third to create something out of nothing, i.e. to drive forward with plenty of skill on the ball. Tevez does this but I have really only seen Klose put the ball in the net.

I'm quite curious actually to see how he would do in our current team. With more defined wide players and better quality wingers sure to come in in the summer, I wonder how Cisse would do playing striker rather than on the right. I'm sure delivery to him would be much better especially since we've become a much more versatile attacking squad since he left.

aye I actually think Torres and Eto'o can be had for the price of Villa. If Torres does have a release clause of 27m, I believe Eto'o can be had for 15m. I'd rather spend my cash there than on one potentially superb striker in Villa.

i don't know how Pepe isn't number 1 on everybody's lists. Finnan, Carra and Agger behind, but Reina's been absolutely incredible. Key saves at key moments, always keeping his composure and playing a sweeping and goalkeeping position. For me it's Pepe without a doubt.

Well not necessarily. I think Voronin will replace Fowler and I agree that Bellamy will go. I think it's a certainty that he'll go somewhere for 8m. I think we'll pick up Tevez, Bent or Eto'o. Villa's price tag is too high.

I don't think you can start Pennant in such a big game when it's a choice between him and Alonso. I agree if he contributed more goals it would be an easier decision.

Well, we were in the exact same position 2 years ago against the same opposition and Rafa selected Kewell to start. Who were Rafa's other options at that time? Compare them to what we have now and you'll have your answer no? Arbeloa has been struggling at the back the last couple of matches so I don't look past Rafa playing Riise at the back and starting Kewell on the left. Bringing on Zenden a la Smicer if Kewell struggles.
