Gala's Sabri looks a player on that performance. I know that Garcia and Aurelio where giving him space but even still he must have put well in double figures of dangerous crosses in on the night.

There's some clips of him on youtube. From the clips (as I've not seen him in matches) he looks like a ronaldo (scum) type player. Quick feet, turn of pace and creates things. He's 19 I believe. The problem seems to be reading from the echo today that there are parties that will buy the whole club and invest in the stadium but not pay the full price of £200m for the club plus the other £150m+ for a new stadium. I guess if we don't want huge debts hanging over us and want the full £350-£400m purchase/stadium then it narrows who can invest in us rather a lot!

Jusy seen it. Riled Rafa as the Isreali journo kept saying why you not play in Isreal. Aren't Liverpool man enough to play there. Rafa kept saying it was Eufa's decision and he wanted to talk about football. In the end after a minute of the journo harrassing him he said he had to think of his players, supporters and staff! All got a bit nasty really. Not sure what the journo wanted from Rafa?? Ps. Rafa stated that he respected Haifa, their fans and the Isreali people.

Isn't the lad on big wages - £80K a week so I saw reported? Also while the lad is worldclass when he turns up...often he has matches he can't be bothered like the UEFA cup final where he got hauled off at half time. I suspect this has something to do with it. I guess Figaro is our man!

Had a insurance guy on SSN last night in reference to rooney getting injuried again while on international duty. He was saying that at the moment clubs pay players all year including while on international duty (although bonuses are paid by nations if they achieve certain things) and also no insurance is taken by the nations. It's up to clubs to cover their players. Although he did add that some nations volunteer something towards wages if a player is injuried with them and defintely some will pay out if it is a career threatening injury. Guess this is the crutch of G14's argument that clubs have to release players for international duty but have no come back when things go wrong for player on international duty.

I saw Newby 2 seasons ago when he joined my York on loan for 8 matches. York cancelled his loan as he was very poor! I was disappointed after I remembered a quality youngster looking to break through from the ressies. Guess it's never happened for him really. He's been back up at a few lower division teams.

Believe we're up to 27,000 now!! I guess some will already have access to tickets and some may not be able to afford when offered but that's still a lot of people!
