Agree with most of that but I'd give Alonso 9.5 Kewell and Garcia IMHO should have 8's as well as 2nd half they where brilliant!

The thing that annoys me about refs is consistancy! Gerrard's first booking was for dissent (kicking the ball away) but Beattie had done exactly the same thing minutes earlier and the ref didn't do a thing! That is the one of the worst performances from a ref I've seen - and that is for both teams! Thought Gerrard was poor in the fact that he had just been booked 35 seconds earlier and it's always risky going in for a challenge like that straight after - but after his performances of the last 4 years and the fact we won 3-1 I'll let him off

Thought Alonso today was immense just as he was against Birmingham, We have got the best 2 CM in Europe in Gerrard and Alonso. Thought Garcia had a poor first half but was brilliant 2nd half, the same for Momo, Kewell and Crouch. Have to say overall the Ref was absolutely shocking - one of the worst performances from a ref I've seen!

I just don't see Owen as a Rafa type of player, Owen's first touch is poor, his ball control is poor and brining others into play insn't his greatest assest, saying that he does know where the back of the net is and has been one of the greatest goalscorers LFC has seen, but I just don't think he's got the all-round game that Rafa likes! Before anyone jumps on me I am not saying Cisse is anywhere as good as Owen but he has very similar footballing charecteristics (sp?), Pace being the main asset of both players and their hold up play and bringing others into play isn't their strongest point. Cisse is still our top goalscorer as I'm sure Owen would be if he was still playing, yet Rafa still picks an out-of-form Nando (prior to the last 2 games) and Crouch above Cisse because of what else Rafa believes they bring to the team amnd I'm sure it would be the same with Owen here so I can't see Rafa paying £12 million for him! GH's Liverpool was built around Owen and I can't see Rafa doing the same and I also think Owen has turned down Rafa and LFC twice now, 1st time with his contract and 2nd time when he came back from Madrid and I can't see Rafa giving him the chance to turn him down again. Rafa makes one thing very clear when he talks about signings and that is the desire to play for the club and I don't think Rafa will believe Owen has it after the 2 previous situations.

Quality and well constructed argument So when I'm comparing strikers I can't use the fact that one has had 3 dissallowed goals (1 definately legitimate maybe 2) as opposed to the fact the other hasn't even made a keeper make a save as an argument? Surely if you have goals dissallowed with good finishes when the Keeper is still trying to save the shot as opposed to not making any f***ing keeper work (Nando) then it proves you are doing your job better as a striker - i.e. having shots on goal

Well Sammya if it's the worst defense ever then I bow to your superior knowledge!! To me it proves Robbie has at least been getting shots on target and should at least have had 1 legitimate goal to his name by now! How many shots has Nando had that have actually been on target and saved except for the back-pass to james let alone scored but dissallowed!!! There was me thinking it was a strikers job to stick the ball in the back of the net!

Sorry but how many games has Cisse actually played as a striker? his natural position? Let's stick Nando or crouch out on the right and see how many they score especially when Nando can't even score playing up-front! Don't forget Cisse is still our leading goalscoerer (Strikers) and IMHO hasn't been given a fair chance up-front in his rightful position unilke Nando who has been given far too many chances!

Absolute b******s!!! Robbie in 6 games has scored 3 goals (all dissallowed). Cisse against Charlton even out of position on the right (let's watch Nando play on the right) had two shots the keeper saved! In the last 14 games how many saves has morientes made opposition keepers make? Forget Man City where he passed it back to James and forget the "he does well outside of the box" s*** as well because he has hardly created any goals all season!

:applause: I went to every game at Anfield last season in the Champions League except Juve (because I was on holiday - and gave the ticket to my old man as a birthday present) and in the games later in the competition we certainly made the difference especially Olympiakos and Chelski! Unfortunately I haven't been able to make any Champo's League games this season except the qualifiers but if we have the support that we had in those games last season and not the support we had on Sat against Charlton then we will be the 12th man and we will go through!
