Never mind answering for Andy.... I would love to see if he things that Zenden in the middle is better than Gerrard in the middle!!! Yes I agree that is what a manager get's paid for but unfortunately he got it wrong today big time!!!

Xabi MOM???? what exactly did he do for us today.... going forward or defending??? IMHO MOM by a mile was Hyypia!!!

Since there has been much debate about the team today etc.... Now that Momo is injured should we put Gerrard back where he belongs or should we keep Zenden in the middle ahead of him!!!

Can't agree more with Momo and Xabi in the middle I can only just understand it but picking Bolo ahead of him in the middle is just daft IMHO!!! That was becuase Momo was in the f***ing middle when Gerrard was on the right and I could just about stomach that!!!!!! So come on Andy is Zenden a better central midfieler than Gerrard????????? If I as Liverpool manager offered all of my players up for sale 2mo 99% of mangers would pick Gerrard and most of them would play him in the middle! Forget McLaren etc... who only play Gerrard out wide to keep Fat Frank in the middle. If we said to United/Chelsea/Arsenal tomorrow you could have Gerrard do you honestly think Red Nose/Mourinho/Wenger would play him on the left or right or do you think he'd play him in the middle!!!!

But wasn't traore the "New Desailly" when we signed him!

Is Fowler injured as he isn't even making the bench these days!

That is one of the major problems when Xabi and Momo play together in the middle - none of them support the attack and there is a massive gap between midfield and attack. Xabi likes to sit deep and spray balls about and Momo is more of a destroyer, so neither of them will be on the end of crosses etc... I lost count the number of times today when a Chelski Centre Half who was challenged by one of our Strikers cleared the ball, the ball drops out to the edge of the box and Momo and Xabi are 20 yards away both sitting. That is the major problem of not playing Gerrard in the middle, when Xabi and Momo are there very few balls that drop out from opposition CH's get picked up by either of them, with Gerrard in the middle that is what he relishes, running onto knock-downs on the edge of the box not only from our Strikers but also from opposition CH's as he did with the chance he should have scored.

All People talking about Gerrard being a better RM than Central Midfielder really can't have watched him over the last 8 or so years. Gerrard is at his best when he's in the middle of the park and constantly involved, when he's on the Right he doesn't get involved as much, can't infulence a game as well and his form suffers because of it! Nearly every manager in world football would Love to have Stevie Gerrard in their team and I would bet a lot of money that over 95% of the would play him in the middle of the park as he is one of, if not the best Central Midfileder in the World.

But it's not just the fact that we've played them now. We have been very poor in both games against Everton and Chelski and we where very poor against Sheffield United as well. We are not out of it Yet I agree but 2 more performances like that in the next month or so and we Will Be Out of It!!!

So Spike do you honestly believe that Momo or Xabi are better Central Midfielders than Gerrard?

Rafa done the same at the begining on last season and it cost us as we had another poor start - it wasn't until Rafa settled the team down and wasn't making 6 changes a game that we went on our great run and as they said last season, if the season had started in October we would have won the Prem!

Have to agree it's as if Rafa will play Gerrard anywhere but where he is best - in the Centre! In the two games where you need a driving midfielder (Everton and Today) we've played Gerrard out of position. In the games like Everton and Chelski you play Gerrard in the middle - simple. As good as Alonso and Momo are they don't drive a midfield and support the attack like Gerrard does! Please Rafa Stop messing about with Stevie on the Left, on the Right or Up-Front and get him back where he is best and probably the best in Europe - In the Centre of the Park!

Why doesn't Rafa like playing Gerrard in the middle? and as someone has said I'd rather have Fowler, Garcia or Gonzalez on the bench ahead of Aurellio or Zenden who for me so far this season have done nothing! Anyway................... COME ON RED MEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry Lee but it really does my head in as soon as someone questions a decision the manager has made all the "well he's won this - what have you won comments come out! and people are saying things as they see them but people dont' enter into sensible discussion they just roll out "Rafa's won loads ,you've won f*** all who are you to comment!" playing the superfan card!

Have to agree - yes we should have had 2 penalties but that would have only made the game 3-2! As Cardie has said we shouldn't need to rely on Ref's to win us points and how many saves did Howard actually make in a game we where so unlucky in? Have to say apart from the big pen decisions I thought Poll gave us a lot of 50-50 decisions in the 2nd half!

Gerrard probably had our best changes even though he wasn't in the middle! At half-time we should have took Alonso off who was having another poor game brought pennant on and got Gerrard back where he belongs - in the middle of the park!
