Harsh to judge Tsimikas on last night, he certainly looked the better option at the end of last season. Yes, makes sense to me to play him while Nunez is out. He can go back on the bench afterwards if we're scared of breaking him.

He's only ever played him as a midfielder. My comment about him being slow was not to slag him off particularly, it was prompted by a passage of play where Trent had lost the ball and he was trying to track back. It's fine for him to be slow, but it's not fine for the right-sided midfielder who has to cover Trent to be slow. If you know what I mean. Jones or Thiago make zero difference last night. Milner actually did alright - in that he was prob 5 out of 10, which probably puts him in the top 3 off our starting 11.

Got to be some questions asked about fitness/conditioning, as well as the aging squad. It’s worse than just the players.
