So you haven't seen or read the clip, and then you go on you rant?? I have no issue with the the context of what they said. They did not say Hillsborough was caused by hooliganism, they said the erecting of fences caused it, which is of course correct. If there were no fences, no one would have died. (yes of course there were the other factors like the incompentance of the police, but the fences did the actual killing). Whether anyone likes it or not here there is a very large link between hooliganism and Hillsborough. If it wasn't for all the trouble at the grounds at that time then fans would not have been caged in, and 96 peopel would not have died. Yes, possibly the link was a little too strong and quick between Heysl and Hillsborough and some idiots might sit there thinking that both were caused by fans fighting, but the BBC did write a line whihc while incorrect (The fences were there before Heysl) did not say Hillsborouugh was caused by violence, but by fences. To me it's the usual case of someone hears Hillsborough mentioned on tv and immediately rushes to there pc to be the first to post about it so most others can come on with mock horror and exclaim there disgust and how they want to t*** everyone and wrote to complain to MPs, Offcom, the Prime Minister, the BBC and God himself. Yet then quite a few have actually said they did not even see it or read the transcript>> It's like that idiot preacher in England who wants Harry Potter books banned but admits he hasn't actually read them!
